  1. Getting developers on board? on Testing an Orange SPV 'Smartphone' · · Score: 0
    From the article:

"...we at The Reg have difficulty believing that a company that's been so awesomely good at getting developers on board could screw up this badly of its own volition. Our every instinct tells us that this is far more likely to be linked to some benighted Orange money-making plan that will destroy developers' faith in Microsoft as collateral damage if it's not pulled instantly."

wft? Is this supposed to be sarcastic? Since when have Microsoft been "awsomely good at getting developers on board"? How can they blame these software bugs they mention on Orange as a money-making plan? I'm confused...

  2. Why not adjust the mouse? on Mouse Gestures Gain Followers · · Score: 0

    From the article:

"The motion of performing a gesture is more natural than sliding the mouse over to a button or menu," he said. "And because it works anywhere in the window (not just on the button), it saves a bit of time and effort, especially as screens get bigger and you have to move farther to reach a button."

"as screens get bigger"?? Wouldn't it be easier to adjust the mouse sensitivity?

I just hope these gestures are easier to control than the ones in black & white (Where you had to get them pretty spot on, or your creature starts eating your followers.)

  3. Liquid Robots? on Viruses Enlisted as Nano-builders · · Score: 0

"Millions of viruses in solution can line up and stack themselves into layers, creating a material that flows like a liquid but maintains an internal pattern. By changing the solution?s concentration or applying a magnetic field, scientists can force new patterns and create different liquid crystal structures."

Does this not sound like Terminator 2 to anyone?? Liquid robots anyone? Very cool concept, but also slightly scary.
