    That suggests the only motivation for software patents in EU was to have legislation on par for TAFTA.

    Indeed they cannot afford a rover. IIRC the gravity is so low that moving on the surface at 0.5 cm/s is enough to escape the comet.

    But Hg2+ is also toxic right? I believe this is not a metalic Hg vs Hg2+ problem, but rather free mercury (or methyl-mercury) vs more complex compounds.

    Right, Mercury is horribly toxic, and releasing it in the environment is bad. But where do we get the mercury first?

    I guess it comes from the environment itself, which suggests some kind of mercury cycle. It was there before as a reasonably harmful compound, perhaps we can ensure it returns to this state?

    Lowering public expenses harms the economy and is increases public debt most of the time.

    For one USD of public expense, there is more than one USD of GDP generated. It works the other way around, and if you lower public expenses, you lower the GDP. This means there is even less public income through income taxes or VAT.

    With reduced expenses, but even more reduced income, the deficit increases, you have to increase debt.

    This is exactly what is going on in EU with austerity policies right now.

    People cannot at the same time complain about debt and taxes. Debt is there because there is not enough taxes.

    Sure, but do not confuse omega 6 from vegetables (linoleic acid), and from land animals (arachidonic acid). The later promotes inflamation, high blood pressure, and IIRC adipocyte growth factors. It can be counterbalanced by eating omega 3 from fish.

    Polyinsaturated fats (omega 3 and omega 6) are essential. The body cannot produce them, and they are required for major functions. Cutting fat means starving the body for something it needs

    On the other hand, carbs are just fuel, and we can create glucose from amino acids if we need some.

    This is not likely to happen, unfortunately.

    Revolutions usually happen when natality drops and people get literate, which let them care about politics. For Iran, it happened in 1979, which means the Iran "arab spring" (wow, don't tell an Iranian he is an Arab) already occurred.

    It could happen again (after All, France did 4 revolutions within 1789 and 1848), but do not take it for something ready to mechanically happen.
