Any Irrational number is non-terminating and
non-repeating decimal. Transcendetals are a
subset which cannot be expresses are the roots
of any polynomial with integer coefficients.
There was story which was very similar
Tiger Cloning.The funny thing about
that tiger(it is *not* a feline, it was more
a dog) is that it was already extinct. OW, the
mechanims are very similar.
I bet we already have html parsers in . And i bet there are a lot
of code jockeys reading this.
So why not create a meta
site which is a mirror of the original site, but
is more accessible to the blind ? (by which
i am implying you can do *more* than just
alt tags). Ofcourse, I realise the hard part is
creating the correct alt tags -- this is probably
best handled manually (A group of volunteers
who sit and tag the images).
If somone writes the code, i volunteer to spend
8 hours a week adding alt tags (i do need a bit
of training in the correct way of describing the
image, ofcourse).
The reason i am not doing it myself ? do not know
a good html parser and have no computer at home
(will change soon).
Once you do, contact me at "syam\@mail.com" which
is ofcourse the valid perl string way of my email
address (back/ and quotes are not a part of my
email address, if you do not get what i mean).
This post brings me to my most interesting
feature request from slashdot.
Remember all the questions you asked when you
were eight years old ? ever heard any answers ?
Like what really is a radio telescope (answered
excellently at the beginning of the comments) ?
how does a photosensor work ? what *is*
bandwidth (i mean, is a property of wire? or is
it something to do with material? or what?)
or linguistics.
Even some excellent newbie tech questions. Like
TCP/IP stack or ray tracing or PCMCIA or
filesystems.
I am sure there are people out there who can
contribute a lot of good features to us by writing
up small features on a lot these kinds of
questions.
These features and the ensuing technical discussion, IMHO, will be far more interesting
than the licensing issues which are talked about
way too often.
it is wrong (of the editors) to give link to oreilly and NOT link manning in the article (yeah yeah, its there somewhere, not in the first few lines which show up on the homepage). Infact, it is wierd that oreilly is linked at all, given that they neither publish the book nor own perl.

Err no.
You can fool some of the people all
of the time and all of the people some of the
time, but you cant fool your mom.
I am interested in knowing about these. Could you please post a few links ? thanks, syam

Slashdot.org: we recycle, do you ?
Wasn't he the CEO ? Where is he?
The article says
"workstation users and developers," said Matthew
Szulik, president and CEO of Red Hat."
