    That makes no sense. They're the one advocating taking to the streets and guillotineing people. Not me.

    We have all the tools we need to improve our country and we decline to use them. The voter turnout for people under 35 is a disgrace. If young people just voted at the same rate as old people, this country would transform overnight.

    People always rebut "But the President sends a proposed budget to Congress". Yes, and it's a complete waste of time. Congress takes that proposal, throws it directly in the garbage, and then creates a budget- as is their constitutional power. It has always worked like that and always will.

    NK attacking its neighbors would be a horrible tragedy, but would certainly not trigger "World War III". China is very sick of Kim Jong Un's crazy shit. The only reason they still prop up the regime is because they don't want 25 million starving refugees pouring into their country.

    No. 97% of the humans you talk to on a regular basis agree with the parent post. Millions and millions of people who vote do not. The members of Congress who oppose funds for space exploration and fusion power get reelected by those people.

    And my point is that your "cynical take" makes no sense. This decision is entirely based on the FCC and the courts declaring ISP information services, not common carriers, back in 2003.

    What actions has Mr. Wheeler taken that are evidence of his secret loyalty to the telecom industry?

    So he's saying and doing things to promote net neutrality, but you know that he secretly hates net neutrality because he worked in the telecom industry?

    I know that Obama is secretly a Kenyan Muslim. He says he's not, but I know he is. It's all a big conspiracy.

    ISPs were classified as an information service in 2003, long before this guy was involved.

    In this case, Obama's FCC is fighting against Verizon and other telecom companies and defending net neutrality. But don't let basic facts right in front of your face influence your pre-prepared bullshit.

    The consequences for normal people going to jail are bad. Aaron Swartz would have been hailed as a hero and had his pick of jobs.

    My point is that writing "he was going to prison for over two decades" is misleading at best. He was going to trial by choice. Even if he had gone to trial, realistically he would have gotten at most a year or two.
