    you mean truck? Personally I do think that most households should have a truck, at least a small one. Most people could get by with mini truck like a hi-jet, but a s-10/dakota/frontier/etc light truck is easier to register and license for highway use in most states.

    Since when is the form factor of a laptop a disadvantage? except that it doesn't have a proper mouse? The form factor of an iPad is even more disadvantageous as it lacks both a proper mouse and a proper keyboard.

    Storage for me is still a factor. To put it in perspective, my phone has more storage than the CR-48.

    Wow? Really? It really isn't impressive at all. Just judicial application of bits of wire and solder. Compared to a lot of the other hacks it seems like pretty small stuff.

    Simplest was splicing in a 4th drive power cord for a machine that needed another drive.

    Also wired an ISA card directly to the motherboard after the socket snapped off.

    Wired a laptops power supply to the motherboard, again after the socket ended up broken.

    Had an old sparc station that had a pin broken off of the keyboard/mouse cable and had to wire that together as well.

    Repeat the observation another 2 times and you have the minimum amount of data required to describe the orbits of those bodies from optical observations alone. That would prove that the objects are orbiting the central star.

    The way things are now? Yes. But if it had a built in web server for local apps and sufficient local storage, it wouldn't need to use data services to access remote apps and data as much.

    Also from TFA the specific area directly around the crack grows "11 times more tough" due to the light and heat leaking from the broken fiber optic. That is what I was referencing.

    It just grows stronger and returns to its original shape when cracked. A clean break would not be able to be healed. And that "repair" will fail if they ever turn off the lights in the fiber optics because the crack is still there and the strengthened plastic near the crack will cool back down.

    One difference is the respect that is shown and compensation provided to accountants, managers, legal advisers and so on. Meanwhile IT guys are basically treated like janitors.

    I agree it is broken, but the idea is you link to a remote web app. Chrome would be a lot better if it came with a built in web server you could drop an app into to store and run locally.

    I have a friend that hacks his ecigs to make them hotter like that, he also has a custom cigarette pack sized LIon battery pack for long trips.

    You know what makes a really bad sharp edge? Here is a hint, it is one of the softest metals, and it is yellowish. You would do better to put a gold brick in a sack and give the rust monster a blanket party.

    Pretty sure. The men were in the camera view from the time that they got out of the van, they went directly to the wounded man and didn't pick anything else up.

    I am not allowed to read the leaks directly, but if the allegation of a us corporation pimping children to Afghan warlords a coverup of that are correct? That would be a hell of a lot more than gossip.

    Hold on there, are you saying the second shooting incident (where the pilot lied to his commanding officer about people collecting weapons and bodies in order to get permission to kill some more people who had quite obviously only went to the aid of a wounded man at that point) was in some way justifiable as anything other than a war crime?

    Why are journalists a special protected class in your opinion? Would they release information without filtering it? What if they were pressured to not release it by a government? Or what if it exposes the wrongdoing of the corporation that owns the journalists?

    The ideal journalist will disseminate the information to everyone anyway, why add the extra step?

    Its about 8x8, I have 5 large locking cabinets and enough desk space for two comfortable workstations and space left over for reading material or lunch. I have it set up so that my computer faces an angle from the door so I don't get people sneaking up behind me all the time. I guess it is pretty nice.

    perhaps to help them take notes and organize their thoughts on the content of the trial. For a lot of people, pencil and notepad are not how these things are done any more.
