    And it can shut down your computer. Last week AVG made my windows install unbootable with a mandatory update requiring a restart, along with the windows install of most people with 64 bit windows and avg. I can no longer recommend AVG in good conscience.

    Blackberries have a tiny cramped keyboard due to its orientation across the bottom of the phone. Most android phones have a slide out keyboard that spans the entire length of the phone.

    The Epic's keyboard is ~4.5 inches wide, that is pretty comfortable for typing with 2 thumbs.

    Most US cell providers do not charge more on their contracts if you get a "special" on a phone. They also do not charge less if you don't.

    Thats why I chose the Samsung Epic, had a ton of features, but the keyboard was a requirement for me.

    I would also note that the student was likely using an m1 garand or sks rifle, few guns use a clip since WW2. A worn or defective clip certainly could have bullets falling out of it when trying to reload.

    You probably meant to say magazine. as well.

    Why don't you think about who that "potential employer" is and the kind of access to information that they have.

    Will ringing sex lines stop you getting a job at Walmart? No. Would it leave you open to compromise in a highly senstiive government position? Yes.

    Theoretically, it will only compromise you if you lie about it. I know a lot of people with security clearances who are "adventurous".

    If you have a security clearance, you are not allowed to talk about classified materials, even if you only know of those materials from an out of channel source (the news). You are also not allowed to seek out classified material that you do not need to know. If a person has had access to classified material without authorization beforehand, it can complicate the process of gaining a security clearance.

    No. Not all packets are the same size.

    a single large packet has has a header that tells the network where it is supposed to go.
    1024 small packets each have a header of about the same size as the header of the large packet, for over a thousand times the overhead cost just in terms of bandwidth.

    A concentrating collect + steam turbine + generator is still generally more efficient than all but the more exotic photovoltaic cells in terms of area used. And storing a heat mass in a well insulated underground reservoir is a lot more efficient than battery storage or electrolysis for supplying power during night and bad weather.

    Because the cable companies will sue the local government for competing with the service it wasn't providing in the area and buy some politicians to make state laws passed that prohibit municipalities from providing internet service to its citizens. This literally has happened.

    photovoltaic cells are just a bad idea for energy production anyway. Solar thermal generation as a lot fewer issues. We can build daylight solar thermal without any exotic materials, using the same turbines and generators used in other power infrastructure. 24/7 solar thermal requires an added complication of thermal mass, but again that is vastly better than photovoltaics.
