There will have to be very few immortals for that to work, so you probably won't be one of them. Otherwise, there isn't enough capital to go around (and there never will be, at least on this planet).
There are portions of an airport that are more or less public. If he'd had a problem in the gift shop area, that would be one thing. But he was at the Delta gate before he had any issue. That's past the checkpoint, where your freedom to travel, for example, has already been severely restricted (no one allowed without a boarding pass). That's pretty clearly not public space anymore. And he still didn't get anything more serious than questions until he tried to board the plane, and that's private property plain and simple.
What I read didn't indicate this took place in a public space. A t-shirt is an analog to shouting, much like wearing a sandwich-board. Finally, as I clarified in another post, I don't have to put up with you quietly advocating for Mitt Romney in my house either. The shouting/obscenity part was an unfortunate choice on my part.
I agree, he could have been falsely claiming credit for the attack. I just wanted to be clear that the notion that his claim of credit was faked was not credible. And in that case, in the modern world that's pretty much the equivalent of a declaration of war. Human organization used to be bound primarily by geography, and so nations and national wars made a lot of sense. Today, the same system doesn't work, as organizations are now largely transnational in nature, and we will still have to have a system for conflict. Call it war or call it something else, it is going to exist, and it is going to involve 'soldiers' killing people, and there won't be individual trials involved.
For Armstrong: the problem is that the tests are wrong, very often. The best athletes have access to the stuff that is ahead of the tests in the drug/drug testing arms race. Personally, I wish they'd just drop their opposition to drugs and let the best pharmaceuticals win openly instead of covertly. Then maybe we could all benefit from superior performance enhancing pharmaceuticals.
For OBL: while I'd also prefer a trial, the notion that his admission was faked was farcical. He admitted it, and never denied it (the exact opposite of Armstrong who has never admitted, and always denied). He certainly had plenty of opportunity to deny responsibility, or to claim that the admission video was faked. If you accept that the war on terror was a war, then our soldiers killed one of their soldiers. Yay, to the extent that having our soldiers do the killing is 'better' than their soldiers doing the killing.
That completely explains why he never denied it after that video was released, even though he made other subsequent statements via arabic news outlets.
Well, I don't believe you. I haven't seen any improvement in anything other than video. If they have made a change, it is apparently so hard to work with no one can, which wouldn't surprise me given this is Adobe we're talking about. Their developers are.... terrible.
In all fairness you have to remember that US surgeons are less competent than their Japanese peers, and so factor in the appropriate incompetence pay factor like for CEOs who wreck companies. I mean, unlike CEOs, incompetent cardiac surgeons actually kill people.
That firing was probably illegal in Massachusetts, though you don't give quite enough detail to be sure. Your friend should certainly have a short consult with a disability lawyer to find out if he has a claim.
The guy with them plastered on his shirt. But this misses the point. I don't have to let you quietly express support for Mitt Romney in my house either.
Treat them with respect if you want things to get steadily worse in the long run. Treat them with respect if you don't want things to get much worse in the short run.
Want the really bad news? One human brain isn't big enough to know all there is to know.

I think you missed a small but important parallel in your contrivance, but good try.

I have bad news for you about college sports.

Actually, no. OBL testified against himself, Armstrong never has.
Yes, this is what is known as a metaphor.

I think part of the point of the article was that frame rates and frame latencies are not equivalent.
flash only supports acceleration for movie decoding (so of course that does apply to youtube, but basically nothing else other than porn sites).
I don't really get that from:

It sounds to me like political leanings and speech are pretty explicitly not covered by Unruh.
Yes. Those aren't on the small list of protected classes for which you are not allowed to discriminate in business.

Per the slashdot FAQ, slashdot is an American centric site, and you should assume that in any unclear case that we are talking USA.
If your HSA account can hold out for the next two years, you'll then be able to buy insurance for a sane price from the mandated marketplaces.

It's not even good for games. Game dev houses would prefer a squarer format.
Yes, the pilot's power to kick you off is pretty much unlimited.
Yep. If you share a name with a reviled person, you should change your name or suffer the consequences.
