As far as I know, Europe is starving for tech help. Problems occur mostly in the EU, where regulations aren't favorable for Americans, as they prefer to use EU citizens where possible. This means that anywhere outside of Western Europe should be wide open.

Try http://www.escapeartist.com and head to the overseas jobs area. Plenty of links.

Any body (formally or informally organized) serves, first and foremost, to ensure its own existence and to spread its influence. I was trying to point out that any organization serves its own needs first, even if it labels itself with a "non-profit" or "health" tag. Perhaps TLDs should also be handed out to individual corporations, so that, say, Microsoft can regulate the 'Net's contents of Microsoft related information. In this way, MS consumers could be sure that they recieve only the offical and correct information from the obvious single authority on such matters.

An MD thinks as economically as an MBA. Wise to keep in mind

The WHO is a profit-making organization. Wanna estimate how many figures are in the exec's salary? Someone's profiting there, within the organization, and of course in numerous affliations, associations, partnerships and sponsorships that go along with such an entity.

Giving a TLD to a basically self-appointed regulatory organization is...yeah figure it out, huh? Even if, say, the notion of such TLDs were approved, who decides who gets to control each domain? Other posts mentioned the AMA, FDA, etc, and each of these certainly has no more *legitmate* (as oppposed to politically delagated) authority in such matters than the WHO. Maybe I'll form a Spliff Health Org and nab the domain for myself. Wonder what the Rx's would look like...

In regard to the "voting irregularities" on the part of elderly Florida resisdents, perhaps the best solution is to discard those votes entirely. If a citizen is incapable of such a basic mental function such as choosing the right lever to pull, how in the world could that citizen possibly make an informed evaluation of the candidates at hand? I couldn't beleive that some of these people would apppear on national network news and essentialy confess their own complete ignorance.

The sad thing about a democracy is the opinion of the ignorant has just as much sway as the informed decisions of those with proper mental facilities.
