Actually it is private because it is only the people who are employed by the computer who can `listen' to the music. It is not open for public and they are not charging money for people from the outside.
It is the same way a company can show a movie and have a bank of movies.
Windows inconsistent hot-keys have the same problem, in fact it is worse because you have to use you little finger in Windows while in Mac OS you use your thumb. You just shift it over slightly while in Windows you have to shift you little finger down.
No one in industry in their right mind would use stl.
pthread_cancel and pthread_kill and others.

These are the ones not covered by NDA.
You have to use an OS where a thread is not another process like Solaris or Mac OS X, for Mac OS X you have to use Darwin 6.0(or Mac OS X 10.2)
That is why I use OmniWeb it displays all those and more.
Apple does it so they can compete with WinTells.
This has been going on for a while read about it when /. went to subscriptions.
Happy Brithday's copyright is illegal and not enforceable: http://amfcc.org/music.html.
"Happy Birthday" no longer has a copyright restricting it; aka public domain.
Depends on what the definition of a "public performance". yes this is Bill Ciltenism.

She had been on holiday if you had read the article and also they had returned it the next day without saying anything else.
Also was bind not rewritten for 9 for security reasons?
What the other person was saying that the security bugs were not found by Microsoft but by the people who abuse^wuse the products.
You have to write in assembler or get a newer compiler, like gcc 3.1, woops that is not out yet.
gcc 3.1 will have both sse and Altivect support in code.
Mac OS X is Mach 3.0 plus plus plus.
Mac OS X server/OpenSTeP was Mach 3.0--(or Mach 2.5 close to 3.0).
And that is why the Roman Catholic Church(the Pope) said that evolution is God's will.
for 9 you have to think they developed their own interface and now you want to emulate it, why do you not buy the real thing instead.
Also they have been helping OSS projects and free software like gcc, gdb, apache and others (FreeBSD is a big one too).

Under Mac OS 9 you can change the view to "As Buttons" where you can get a launcher type of view and be able to single click to open.
Also the Launcher which came with the first Performa's were like this.
The SMB browser support went in the new version of SMBFS in Darwin's CVS so it will be in Mac OS X 10.2.
Mod this down this is redundant and is not really funny.
Dumbest Moments in Business is when no one reads the `important stuff' like `Try to reply to other people comments instead of starting new threads.'

Actually all recent (like last 5 years) POWER are PPC's.
GCC (3.1 and above) now has an option to use the prefetch command of the PPC and AltiVec when looping.
Some one is already looking into how to auto vectorize code.
Or you can wait till April 15 when gcc 3.1 is released with everything you need built-in(or you can download a snapshot and compile it).
