    Not "iServer", but iSeries. As in, e(logo)Server iSeries. Ditto for the zSeries.

    ...because all users throughout Europe (UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Netherlands) access the Internet through a firewall in the UK. The internal networks all use 10.* addressing, so all web requests seem to come from the firewall address.

    They seem to have thought of this. From one of the presentations on their site:

    • Inherent reduction of laser speckle
      • Natural reduction of speckle through fundamental linear scanning approach
      • Use of multiple non- coherent sources (i. e. laser bars or multiple DPSS lasers) further reduces speckle
      • Use of non- polarized light enables novel speckle reduction means

    - Incremental garbage collection. True incremental collection, with no more sweep checks

    IBM's implementation of Java on the AS/400 (sorry, iSeries) does this. It's a shame nobody ever mentions the iSeries when discussing Java -- it has to be by far the best implementation of the language yet.
