Actually their only drop was in singles. One year their singles sales dropped like 30 percent. Coinsidently they also released less singles that year, and the economy was doing bad, and singles have been becomming less popular, and oh yea singles are just %1 percent of their overall revenue, infact total revenue is up. Of course they were still screaming about it blaming P2p. Here a slashdot story about most of it. http://slashdot.org/articles/01/02/26/1812213 .shtm l
Why wouldn't an underwater gate work? They actually discussed this, besically states that the gate has the ability to choose which particles enter it. So it doesn't allow the water to pass through it, while allowing the people to do so.
That reminds me of the "No Child Left Behind" bitching I heard abot constently. The whole deal with it is that schools with a lot of minorities, poor, or handicapped, get special federal money for "improvment". The NCLB act basically says that each school much improve its test scores (whatever test the state generally uses for standards) each year by a small margin. If they don't do it 2 years in a row they loose funding. ALL this bitching over that, I mean seriously stop expecting the feds to fund you, and there is no problem I say.
I think the point is, why pave the road if you have to rip it up again in 2 weeks, 2 months I kinda understand, but paving for 2 weeks is silly. I'd be willing to bet they did a very professional pave job each time. If it was just a temporary slab of asphalt, yea it makes sence to put temporary pavement down if the road gets a decent amount of traffic.
But is the level of piracy really all that bad? Before the rampet internet piracy they were making X dollars a year from selling music. Now they are making X+ dollars a year, and the pirates are making some money too. I don't agree that the pirates should nessesarly be making any money, but its pretty hard to prove that they are hurting the record companies buisness, and I'd be willing to bet some of they money they have made, is off selling things people want but simple can't buy, like non DRMd stuff.
You know it seems kinda strange that they didn't build a second iris that is inside the gate itself. This would replicate the gate being buried, so the wormhole would never get created. Obviously this wouldn't work for normal travel as you couldn't send the code signal through, but it might make sence when your being attacked to minimize the chance of damage. On the otherhand, it is kinda satisfying to destroy the enemy rather than just stop them, but it seems risky in that you could be destroying casual explorers whom you didn't know also.
http://pda.cyber.ust.hk/app/package10.html hmm this logins with bluetooth? I'm not sure if it logs out with it too, maybe???? Try it out let me know how it works, as I don't have any bluetooth phones.
Not always, in some cases yes, but to say that anyone who went to a temple in those days was going to a gay bathhouse, is a bit extreme. But I think its the purple thing that made me laugh the most, purple was the color of royalty, because it was difficult to make. It had no sexual context until recently.
Yes, but the average person would not be able to figure out how to get to any other page. Therfor not accessable, as it creates an artificial barrier to entry by hideing the links.
"I have used tabbed browsing. I don't find it an attractive feature. I don't know why everyone seems to believe it to be the best thing out there but I just don't need it. Another instance of IE is fine for what I do." Do you have a middle mouse button, do you have a middle finger? Yes? Tab browsing is for you, try it again, I dare. (Btw in mozilla you have to turn it on, goto preferences and check, load links in background, and middle click on links) Press the middle mouse button (push down on your wheel) on each link in a list of links. Yummy!:)
Can't find the program, but I know there are some that will login/lock your system upon use of a USBkey, I bet that system could be hacked to work with bluetooth.
Well as it was Jesus who said it I would assume he meant for you to follow his example. Which was one of actions not words. (He did good things and encouraged others to do good things and seek the God, but he did it in a very civil manor, not forcefully, and didn't force ideas upon others that didn't want to hear them.) So I take it to mean spread the word, but don't be a dick about it:) But not everyone is very good at spreading words without being a dick, so I think those people should just stay home:)
From end of article. Companies like LG Electronics, Matsuhsita, Mitsubishi, and Thomson have so far remained agnostic, and supported both of the rival formats. supported both formats? Past tense? Damn I've missed out.
You mean decentralized? Anyways butting both DNS records on the same point of failure breaks standards. These companies deserve to be hit hard (PR wise) for not building a roburst network.
You can get much better than 70kB over a 600k like, either way their 30 minute contention is for true 600k, so I'm willing to bet their quality will be a bit better than that.
Actually the quality of Reals 10.0 encoder is arguably as good as divx (arguably is the ultimate point as would can tell the difference if you look very closly, but its still quite good)

on you mean splatting on the iris like a bug, I don't think much bouncing happens.

Damn he definatly appears to be an elitist, talk about non accessable website.

Funniest thing I read. So JC was "gay" because he "loved" his disciples, and because he wore a purple robe? HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAH

Do you know of any software like it for MS Windows?

of course I also meant putting, not butting, but as both actually can work I was luckly :)
You mean decentralized?

duh, slap me around for not doing the math (I just assumed by the wording that the person was heavily underestimating :( )

Good luck tracking that MAC down.
