    I remember reading an article about a quake-like shooter game made in java. They say it was fast but I never saw it myself. Perhaps someone could point us to some demo?

    C++ is not just an OO language. It's a multi-paradigm language.

    I'm tired of people confusing any constraining in a language with being handcuffed. They are used so much to be loose that anything else looks like too tight to them. I know nothing about music, but when you learned you accepted the pentagram paradigm and language for describing music, didn't you? Do you need pointers and templates for music? seems like a single language, single paradigm to me.
    In the end if you don't like just don't use it.

    Sorry but DOS is still used here, mostly in most retail apps, POS like PCs, etc. It's being slowly replaced by Linux and Windows alternatives, but is a cost effective way to reuse old hardware.

    So .Net runs on NT and a single NT server (small for what it seems) can scale to the same levels of service than a "couple Sun E6500s".

    Also it means more stability in specs. Writing specs takes some time but it pays off when you need to implement the spec.

    Undermining Iran government in name of USA interests isn't the same as fighting terrorism, even when Iran may have helped (or helping) terrorists or Iran is a dictatorship.
    Look at the situation in Irak, where this kind of politic lead to actually promoting terrorism.

    What I meant is that doesn't make sense to me that a n IDE for C/C++ imposes you a naming schema like this, given that traditionally C sources haven't.
    Java has a cool standard and the compiler enforces it, but does make sense only for Java.

    I tried C++Builder once. Created a hello world project named hello. Tried to create a hello.c. The ide says it can't be named that, the name is used by the project. Time to throw C++Builder through the window and return to Visual C.
    If I wanted to do it in Delphi, I would have done it in Delphi. If I use Java, I put each class in it's own .java, if I use C I put everything where I want and that is.

    What so bad with good old plain IP address? not this nonsense of IPv6. Six!!! That isn't even a power of two!!! Next will know everyone will try some protocol over TCP. I'm telling you, God wanted us to use plain TCP, not these unnatural HTTPs and Web Services. Everyone that those differently should be switched out and will be thrown to the firewall of hell.
    In the old times nobody needed to autenticate. Only with username was used, everyone knew everyother and passwords were left blank.
    Now let me tell you about the times before ARPANET...

    What's the problem? In fact with my plan you skip a lot of burocratic steps: election fraud, convince people that martians have Massive Destruction Weapons, tell congress that has the patriotic duty of support executive, moving troops, invasion, increase national debt, attacks, etc.
    From begin to end in one easy move. Just for the savings in ocupation troops is worth trying.
