SuSE, will port their distro to any hardware, and they have one of the strongest consumer desktop distro's. Plus IBM can return Microsofts gut punch that killed OS/2...
First off thies were not PC chips they were for the embeded matket! Their is a K6E that can be run for hours off a AA battery but they coust just as much to make as the K6-2/3E's thus it makes sence to drop the older lines.
In a way it was a moral choice, it is his duty to act in the best interest of the American people and that is just what he did even if he doesn't totally agree with it. I can say I like him as a person but he has not been a bad president so far.
Well, I agree there. That's one of the reasons that rape is so hard to get prosecuted, because the police don't want to go throwing the accusation unless there is hard evidence, but hard evidence is difficult to come by.
I don't know where you live but in Phoenix Arizona, if a female says you raped her you are as good as guilty. I was accused by a girl I had never even talked to in High School. She didn't want to admit she was having sex with her boyfriend. Only after I insisted on a DNA test of the baby when it was born(or aborted) did she decide to drop the charges. Even after that the police and the school treated me like I had been found guilty. It took three years to get it completely removed from my police record.
Actually, they're not that good at making money. They've coded themselves into a hole where people don't want to upgrade their software to new versions every year or two.
This is what I call the Novell effect you reach a point where people are happy with what they have and see no reasion to up grade.
If we've got morons sitting on the bench who think that it's really a criminal action to decode DVD's, then our civil liberties are in severe danger.
It is a criminal action to decode DVD's, right or wrong it is illegal. By the way the case is about weather or not he can be tried under California law. I think the Supreme Court justices know a whole hell of a lot more about the law the you or anyone on Slashdot so I wouldn't quite call them morons.

That is like saying don't stop someone from braking the law because you like them.
(I remember 866Mhz Alphas while Intel was still working in the 300-400Mhz range).
Well Alphas broke in to that clock speed only after they went with coper interconnects witch was not fully developed until well after the P!!! came out(P!!!'s start @450Mhz.) Yes back in the 486 days RISC prossers had a higher clock speed and deeper pipe, but since the PC50 CISC prossers have had higher deeper pipes Intel knew that clock speed was the only way to catch up with many of the RISC prossers.
By the way the best I86 branch perdiction unit ever had a 99.4% it was used on the AMD K6-2/3, but held back the clock speed so it was dumped for the standord ~99.1% Bevlive it or not that makes a big diffrence.
Your comuters CD-ROM can read a music CD as audio or data. When you use your noraml play back most software will treat it as a audio CD and will play the CD just fine. When being treated as a data CD your CD-ROM will not use the error corection unless there is a real error. Since many "errors" but are not real errors your CD-ROM will happly copy them as is. CD-Players use error corection evry time they hit a "dead spot" that could be from a scrach or planted. This protection work becuse your CD-Player is to dumb to find real errors and your CD-ROM is not.
The court order, however, did authorize the FBI to "install and leave behind software, firmware, and/or hardware equipment which will monitor the inputted data entered on Nicodemo S. Scarfo's computer by recording the key-related information as they are entered."

I hate to tell you but my Duron 600@666 with 384MB of ram takes longer than 30 seconds to boot fully in XP and only 13 for BeOS 5. It was slightly faster to the login prompt than 2k by 4 seconds but 2k was ready in less then 2 seconds after login XP took about 5. All in all XP took 41 seconds and 2k took 43, take off 11 for BIOS and you get BeOS 2, XP 30, 2k 32. Not much to brag about.
I think the funniest thing is when people on the same LAN feel they have to attach files to email rather than sending a link to where the file is on a public drive.
Like when someone attaches a 113MB PowerPoint Slide show from a pppppublic drive and sends it to half the company, all of witch have access to the original file. Then 47 people save the file to their user folders. Then the person that sent the E-Mail bitches about E-Mail running slowly!!!!
No what is funny is a month later when every version is diffrent and every one thinks the server isn't saving files anymore.....
I know for a fact that this is what happened in Arizona a couple of years ago, when that state simply ignored the State Department's request that a pair of German nationals be allowed to contact their consulate and executed them (the Germans, not the State Department - I'll leave it up to the reader to decide which one was more deserving).
How would you know this for a fact? Were you here? They were on the they contated the German Consulate many times in their over 20 year stay in Florence before they were executed. So go check your facts.
Not, having to buy two books is not a financial gain. In order for it to be a gain you need to make a profit not just prevent a loss. I cold legaly make a copy of a cd and give it to my friend but I could not sell it to him. Also I could make as many copys in any format I like for my use. This is fair use and has been upheld in cort many times.

Some how I don't think so, First off not even 99% of all people have even seen a computer!
First off thies were not PC chips they were for the embeded matket! Their is a K6E that can be run for hours off a AA battery but they coust just as much to make as the K6-2/3E's thus it makes sence to drop the older lines.

Change son for daughter and you cold be talking about me!!! I'm sure your not in school still though..

And just how is that any diffrent?
I think you mean a router.

Yes and no, they cannot get a signal from the LCD it self but you can easly get it right off the wires from the video chip.
The cort did aprove the use of the keyboard tap.

My hotmail account gets ~150-200 spam mails a day. Some times I like to empty it just to see how much spam I get in a day.

This in an injunction to stop Microsoft from continuing to brake the law. What is so innovative about XP anyway?
Maybe next time I'll pppppreview oh well.....

Selling someting in the US and on the Internet is not the same, and if a company breaks the law you can not just start aressting there employees.
How could it's primary intent be to commit a crime when it is not a crime where it was written?
