Yeah, you're right about Batman, dude... Batman is a super-well-produced cartoon, just like "Spiderman Unlimited",but that's not the point. Of course, there are lots of good-quality american cartoons (and I like them), but my point isn't the quality of those cartoons, but their content. Look at cartoons like Batman, Spiderman, Superman and others - heroes are alike, concerning to their personalities, and bad guys too ! In american cartoons, bad guys are bad guys forever - it seems they're not humans... we tend to change the way we though along our lives. Thats exactly what happens in japanese cartoons - all of them - bad guys aren't really "bad" guys; they just try to defend their positions, but along the way, they change of side, 'cos characters think... I mean, it's not that "I'm bad 'cos I was born bad, and everyone will pay for that" crap that american bad guys say every single episode... In X-Men, we can find some "old fashion bad guys" like those, but Magneto, for example, is not a bad guy... That's the difference I was trying to point out. Got it ?
I don't know if DragonBallZ has something to
do with Slashdot or not - the fact is that DBZ
is a damn good cartoon... Japs are the best
in cartoons showing the real personality of
human beings (or some creatures too...). The only
good american cartoon is X-Men...
DBZ, like all japanese cartoons, show that the
fight between good and evil is far beyond some sucker trying to rule the world just because he
was born bad, or because he is ugly, and heroes are athleic guys... There's more in life than that... Think about that, fans of american cartoons... DBZ is one of the best cartoons of all times - maybe not in US, but it is for sure in the rest of the world. And the new Android Saga is too damn cool !
