Heat is. Look over a burning fire, over a radiator.. what you see is that air is being warmed up and because of that, it diverges the light.
So does rain, but in a much more gentle way. A drop of rain is small compared to a vast area of land that's being warmed up.
When you are using "state of the art" technology in your new game, let's say on the PS2, you can't emulate the PS2 on, let's say a Duron 800. I mean, it's raw processing power won't be enough to have a game ported at full speed...
The problem is this, americas children and teenagers are overweight and getting fatter.
Of course that's a serious problem, but don't you feel that there's another problem arising as well?
Everybody playing their own video game, will there be room for the people to acutally talk face to face with eachother...
But hey, I might be wrong and everybody comes everywhere in the virtual world, getting fatter all the time, while retaining the image of the slim person in the virtual world...
In my opinion video games will change. I mean, the role they're playing and the role they'll play in the near future will change the look game-companies and coders will have on themselves and others will have on them
Because of the impact they have on the day to day life, governments and other authoroties or even all major multinationals won't be able to get by them, because of their:
educational value
advertisement value
well-being value

But hey, I'm just an average Joe myself...

Can the current set of dvd-players on the market play recorded dvd-rams?

you don't have as much room left on the cd as you would have had without the OS
you can't save games (of course you can do that on the harddisk of the host, but not with the game)
everytime you boot, you need to set your preferences by hand...
aren't consoles supposed to be like this?
