So I guess the New York Times doesn't get filed under journalism then.

This looks like a good post to selfishly promote my "journalism" site The Power Vacuum. It is a slash site that provides political news and conservative analysis. We normally do several stories a day, but with the August vacation that everyone in DC decides to take, we have less to talk about.

Oh wait, you forgot to realize the Senate hasn't passed the bill yet, and both the senate and House must have a 2/3 majority to override a presidential veto.

True, ask people like Newey and Brawn and they'll tell you that using computers, i.e. computational fluid dynamics, isn't enough. There are certain things learned from using a model in a wind tunnel that you simply can't get from a computer...yet.

Last year Jaguar sucked cause they didn't have a wind tunnel. This year they suck because they have a driver who can't keep the car on the track, and runs over his own mechanics.

    Go McLaren!

just transfer, thats what I did. I just had enough of professors looking to fail you, pipes that leaked shit(and I do mean shit), and the "we're getting screwed" attitude of everyone from the students to the administration. I go to SUNY Stony Brook now, and they have actual resources(my workstation of choice in the computer lab is a SunBlade 1000) and tuition is only $4k a year. Its no less respected by industry and all that stuff about having a 2.0GPA from poly is better then a 3.5 from most schools is bullshit. A 3.5 is a 3.5. And no it isn't perfect but the administration is able to run a campus of 17,000 undergrads, massive research programs, and an actual campus bigger then my backyard, a hell of a lot better then Poly runs their university.

give them something to get them to vote! Why? If people don't want to vote then forget them, they have no right to complain. It's not like you are doing the government a favor for voting...the incentive is a voice in politics...however small it may be.

  12. Re:drug use? Drugs suck on Ask An Ordinary Teenage Slashdot User · · Score: 2

Personally I think not only should they legalize drugs but the government should also subsidize it. People who want to do drugs are going to do it regardless of whether it's legal or not. So you make it cheap enough so the people who are going to abuse em can easily buy enough to overdose themselves. We clear the world up of some otherwise losers, and we save money on fighting a war and treating a disease that we'll never win. This is all part of the platform for my political party..."The lotto reform" party. In addition to the drug subsidization we also want to reform this corrupt lotto system, I have been playing for a year now and I still haven't won millions. Vote for me as president and I'll make sure that these astronomical odds are brought down to levels where you and I can all benefit.
