I have been hired many times....wait that's off
topic.
I have had some experience being interviewed, and I have been hired over many other applicants who are more experienced than I am by just being honest. Perhaps an interviewer should test for that?
I once had a group interview where the MIS manager, and director both asked me questions. I was up against 3 other applicants who had at least 5+ years more experience that I did. I was hired shortly after the interview for 2 things that I said:
1. Q. When the manager asked me if I had ever worked with ?
A. I replied no, but I have been keeping up with the technical notes and articles about it. I've worked with similar equipment, and I feel I can adapt quickly. If I get in over my head, I'll be the first one to let someone know.
2. Q. When the director asked me the last question: If there was one thing you could say to convince me to hire YOU, what would it be?
A. I said: "When you ask my manager how the sysadmin on this site is doing....he will actually be able to tell you.
I am extremely impressed with a company who has a support staff that can overnight a 6509 switch when needed, and when you call them at 2 am, you get "routed" to a TAC somewhere on the planet that is not only awake during their normal business hours, but also speaks your language!
I'll bet Mitnick is Pissed!
I just want to know what happens when you play one of these CD's backwards. Something like:
"Help, I'm trapped in a CD factory!"
