  1. Re:Evolved? on New Rodent Species Found · · Score: 1

Question is, do you even understand? It doesn't appear that way. While I wont discount faith in any way, I will say that the world stemming from two people is physically impossible. Not to mention that the bible itself says that incest is BAD. Which the family of Adam and eve would have had to participate in regularly to propagate the human species.

The truth is in evolution it is the only theory that makes sense, although I wont deny that there was no "help" in the process.

The bible was written 100-200 years after the death of Jesus, from third party accounts. And has since gone through hundreds of revision by different sects hoping to gain more control through its teachings. What we see now is nothing of the true teachings of Jesus, whom I do believe was a real man. Faith should not make you ignorant to reality as it seems to do with so many people. How can you be content believing in something that just simply doesn't make sense? Faith should help you understand the truth and appreciate the perfect complexities therein. It should expand your mind, not close you off to reality. If your content believing in fairy tails, than that's fine, that's how you chose to manifest your faith. Personally I chose to manifest my faith in the higher power in events that have been proven to be true, such as the process of evolution.

I don't know how else to say this, maybe I'm not articulating my thoughts in the most effective manner but I think anybody here will see the point in my statements.

Back to the subject at hand, I dont think we have even come close to the discovery of every living mamal. In fact I doubt we are even close.

Suicide is a seflish act, nothing more. It is an attempt to end ones own suffering, disregarding the feelings of others. There is a reason why, in all forms of religion (except maybe certain forms of islam), that suicide is one of the worst sins and a free ticket to "hell". IMO taking your own life is just as bad as taking another persons life.

I would tend to agree with such a theory. And I would add that it seems logical that life, in at least form, could be one single characteristic of every similar galaxy in the universe. Given the vastness and infinite nature of the universe coupled with the fact that life DOES exist here, it is completely illogical to think that life would not exist somewhere else in the universe.

To comment on the article, there is at least one characteristic of all animals particularly humans that the 5 senses do not account for. Emotion. Or to take that to a more spiritual level, your soul. The combination of environment, interaction, relationship, and the other 5 senses, combined to form one singular "sense" that can control them all. In that respect I would agree with the article in saying that a human at the very least possesses a "sixth sense". I would agree with the other poster, that our reliance on tools will forever prevent us from truly understanding that sense however.

How is that a humming bird, the size of a ping pong ball can navigate the EXACT path of his 3000 mile migration route every year? The same birds have been caught in the same nets year after year. How is that 300 birds can fly in unison through some reasonably complex path without one going astray? Why is that dogs seem to be able to sense fear, anxiety, and happiness, or detect tumors for that matter? It seems reasonable to believe that we posses that ability as well, however less in touch with it we may be.

Only thing is... 98% of the sattelites in the sky right now are owned by corporations. The military is going to want their own network, which is just going to cost us more money. Too bad we never here stories about the the federal government spending 3 billion dollars to actually better the world instead of destroy it.

Crap like this is the reason over 30% of my hard earned paycheck goes to the government!

If the community keeps cracking it before it comes out it keeps SMDI at the drawing board for even longer! Draw back to that is if the do actually release something it will be a pain in the A$$ to crack, but hey it gives us something to do on those lonely weekday nights!
