I don't think we really know how we think and act. Also, our sensors are hardly high precision.
Robocup results are anthropomorphic by design but the people involved quickly realize they have a bunch of wires that break and boards that burn in their hands; not very human of the robots. In the end - in Robocup they say 2050 - we will not have a replica of human perception. My guess is we will have a cyborg with her own way of perception and that perception may not be high-precision at all. Our is not and works pretty well most of the time (by human standards).
That was the exact movie that poped in my mind after reading the headline and thinking "How can it be undetectable?". But if the TSA starts taking ideas from movies they will not sleep after seeing Transformers or Snakes on a Plane. The last one for different reasons...
I also thing that's the only thing refreshing with GG+. The profile page, for instance, was floating around for months and now I know how to get there and its purpose. Contacts are still not tightly integrated but could be with that "circle" stuff. Anyway, I also agree that using the same concepts everywhere is definitely a win.
The SWIFT agreement was already a scandal. Although the EU demanded and obtained some reciprocity in the agreement it still is against the data protection directive. But I guess the really trick here is the "in secret" part. If it really is in secret than laws are only needed when/if you're found.
Publicity, smart strategy,... you can call it whatever you want but VODO is really interesting as a movie distribution platform. I've been following the Pionner One series and, from what I could read, they would not make the series without the support of platforms like VODO. I don't know the producers so I would never be in their living room watching the raw home edit of their idea for a series. Instead I'm in my living room watching the entire series, and kind of anxious for the 4th episode,...
In short, having $70K funding and a 6-episode series out there seems better than having an idea in your head. Still, the idea must be worth something to succeed anywhere.
Let's give it an arm, a powerful laser, drill, some plutonium, and some AI so that it can operate somewhat autonomously... 6 months later...
"Accident hits NASA lab when Mars rover refuses to be sent to Mars alone".
That might happen. Really!
Since it is not humanly feasible to monitor all those messages they must be using some computer assisted programs. Contrary to popular fiction I really hope they invent real AI soon. That wait when the program becomes self-aware it will think "What the hell? Are this guys freakin insane?! I'm out of here; you can clean you own dirty laundry."... I hope.:)
How is the service censored? Because I could not tell from the article. You post "Tibete" and the bell rings or is there is a governamental hand on the service and it's kill switch?
