MR. CROSBY NOYES (Washington Evening Star): Mr. Kerry, you said at one time or another that you think our policies in Vietnam are tantamount to genocide and that the responsibility lies at all chains of command over there. Do you consider that you personally as a Naval officer committed atrocities in Vietnam or crimes punishable by law in this country?
KERRY: There are all kinds of atrocities, and I would have to say that, yes, yes, I committed the same kind of atrocities as thousands of other soldiers have committed in that I took part in shootings in free fire zones. I conducted harassment and interdiction fire. I used 50 calibre machine guns, which we were granted and ordered to use, which were our only weapon against people. I took part in search and destroy missions, in the burning of villages.
All of this is contrary to the laws of warfare, all of this is contrary to the Geneva Conventions and all of this is ordered as a matter of written established policy by the government of the United States from the top down. And I believe that the men who designed these, the men who designed the free fire zone, the men who ordered us, the men who signed off the air raid strike areas, I think these men, by the letter of the law, the same letter of the law that tried Lieutenant Calley, are war criminals.
.50 cal weapons are not to be used against people, only 'equipment'.
My original post didn't mention congress nor have I defended Bush. I simply said Kerry was a self admited war criminal and the facts show that he is a self admited war criminal.
But it is obvious that you can not stay on topic so I will be leave your to your imaginary world. I would suggest, however, that you read up on who you are defending. If you do this you will find that his actions show him to be almost exactly the same as the one you dislike so.
As Sulldogg says in reponse to a post in this subthread:

The part you didn't post, it was after all a 2 hour session.
We rationalized destroying villages in order to save them. We saw America lose her sense of morality as she accepted very coolly a My Lai and refused to give up the image of American soldiers who hand out chocolate bars and chewing gum.
We learned the meaning of free fire zones, shooting anything that moves, and we watched while America placed a cheapness on the lives of orientals.
First, if you want people to support you don't be a dumb ass and do not insult people. You come off sounding like a 3 year old. Hiding behind the AC UID doesn't help your standing much either.
Second, Kerry's statements before congress (Which I have both read and heard before your post) contain the word WE a lot, do they not? Face it, the person the DNC selected to run for the white house is a war criminal.
They are not unintended consequences, they are deliberate. It will make it easier for those in power to stay in power and help keep 'undesirables' out of power.
Yes there is. Our goverment should not keep secrets from the public any longer than necessary. Except for the case of REAL national security matters, and the penalty for classifying something too high should be 1-5 years in prison per page.
* "If men strive, and [accidentally] hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine. Quotes About Abortion
"America needs no words from me to see how your decision in Roe v. Wade has deformed a great nation. The so-called right to abortion has pitted mothers against their children and women against men. It has sown violence and discord at the heart of the most intimate human relationships. It has aggravated the derogation of the father's role in an increasingly fatherless society. It has portrayed the greatest of gifts -- a child -- as a competitor, an intrusion, and an inconvenience. It has nominally accorded mothers unfettered dominion over the independent lives of their physically dependent sons and daughters" And, in granting this unconscionable power, it has exposed many women to unjust and selfish demands from their husbands or other sexual partners. Human rights are not a privilege conferred by government. They are every human being's entitlement by virtue of his humanity. The right to life does not depend, and must not be declared to be contingent, on the pleasure of anyone else, not even a parent or a sovereign." (Mother Theresa -- "Notable and Quotable," Wall Street Journal, 2/25/94, p. A14)

Step Two: There is no step two.
You didn't even bother to look up the quote, yet you imply that I am lying and that I will not respond. At least I am logged in when I post.

That is why I wrote 'equiptment' ;-> But they are not meant to be used against unarmed civilians.
Hell has frozen over.
I think that says it all...I guess that Satan will be wearing a coat tonight.
And as I said my original post didn't include the word congress.

Perhaps you have heard about the Internet? And if the MSM is already saying negative things about bush what could it hurt?
Then why doesn't the USGOV release unedited video of all the good things that are happening in Iraq?
And Kerry is a self admited war criminal, does that make what he says any less true or false?
In the world of washington politics that persons enemies would see to it.
See, The Pentagon Papers
Just post to the nonpolitical sections some, that will give you the karma necessary to defend against the /. groupthink mod squad.
Screw that! Do NOT under any circumstance listen to the Audio Weapon she calls 'singings'.
Death, or worse a love of techno, may result.
They are not unintended consequences, they are deliberate. It will make it easier for those in power to stay in power and help keep 'undesirables' out of power.

/. has editors? When did they get hired?
The Bush Adm doesn't care about stopping terrorists in the United States, they only care about stoping them overseas.
Proof of this is in our 'Open' Borders policy.
Is it me, or does that article spend a page and lots of big words to basicly say nothing?
How do you know that I didn't know anyone who died that day?
Yes it is. /. is how I found about about 9/11
That is in the case of violations of the old laws from the time before Jesus. Most of those ways went away per Jesus.
Ignoring that, that is only if a Married Woman gets pregnant by a man not her husband. It doesn't exacly address the level of abortion we have today.
