Certain parts of SVG - ie. all the cool vector graphics bits - will probably go into Mozilla once it's ready and if it doesn't impact the rest of Mozilla too much speedwise and footprintwise

Last time I talked to him (the linuxpusher), he said he'd been talking to someone and wouldn't have to pay the tax. Business-exemption, I believe.
Bit of a bitch for the rest of us, though... Something is rotten i Denmark, and chances are there's a tax on it.

Try Movist on OS X, it lets you choose between FFmpeg and QT. And the interface is lovely.
