Amarok can sync both iPods and iPhones. It is therefore a replacement by your working definition.

Last time I checked Amarok could not sync iPhones with a firmware >2.0. That means with a iPhone 3G you are out of luck.

A preconfigured VM for this player would be nice. Then you could use the secure enviroment if you are e.g. at Starbucks and go the normal way, when you are in a secure enviroment. Does anybody know if this already exists?

Wow, I find it really funny to read on slashdot a complaint about a site which gathers news, generatet by other sites without adding any original content.
What different is this to slashdot itself. The editors here do not even write the summaries themself.
And still I appreciate this sort of service, because it saves me a lot of time, surfing the net and finding the interesting pieces for me.
And no need to be jealous. Just open up your own site and do the same. But at 635$ a month do not make this your main job :)

Isn't glass by itself already hydrophilic. If you've got a very clean piece of glass the water will already form no droplets but a sheet.
I think it is only the dirt on the glass, which makes the water build droplets.

  5. Re:Not new, it's called Mixed signal. on Analog & Digital Chips On The Same Silicon · · Score: 2, Informative

Its not only the classical "mixed signal", what they want to integrate onto a chip but also the HF components, like Low Noise Amplifier(LNAs), mixers and filters which work in the GHz frequency range. Thats also what they need the SiGe HBTs for. But i agree to you that this has been done before. See for example single chip bluetooth. On the other side this has not be done for GSM chips up to now, but Intel is not the only company working on that.
