As a matter of fact, I am reading J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Lord of the rings", as I play Baldur's Gate..And even though they don't have that much in common, I feel like one completes the other.
And I've felt that way about a lot of stuff. The first time I played "Alone in the dark" I was reading Lovecraft, and I felt like the book took me more and more deep into the game.
I live for games... I like to sit back in front of my screen, when I get home from work.. and play until I'm stuck and my eyes cannot work anymore, or until the sun "pops out"... And every once in a week, I sit back, on my couch, relax, get a nice cup of hot coffee (colombian coffee that is!) and read on...
I enjoy reading almost as much as I enjoy playing. Those two broaden your mind a lot. Of course, so does traveling, but hey.. I'm not that rich.
Actually, it's happening right now... My partner also happens to be my best friend in the real world, (we met a long time ago, and then ended up working in the same place).. He's been in this job for like one year more than me, and it already looks like I'm his boss... he goes out early, gets here late, plays around all day doing this and that, and he never gets the job done!
That shit pisses me off, because, I work my ass off all day.
So, it is true... Working in a war room might be better for performance (I work in a cube inside a war room!), but believe me, when you're stressed out, and the only thing you want to do to calm down is working some more, and the asshole beside you does nothing but pick his nose and stick the boogers in the keyb, you'll be wishing you were in a cube farm.
Juice cartons take up half the landfill space occupied by the glass bottles they replaced; 12 plastic grocery bags fit in the space occupied by one paper bag.
Yeah, BUT.. if a turtle eats a piece of paper, what do you think will happen to it?(nothing, unless it's sandpaper, or fly-catching paper). If that same turtle then goes and eats plastic, or styrofoam, it'll surely die. Sea turtles tend to eat plastic bags, because they think it's jellyfish. Then they choke to death. Not a nice way to go.
I believe you say.. "A hoax" not "AN hoax".. correct me if I'm wrong.
Then, Pokey makes me forget everything I might be thinking. AN Hilarious episode of pokey the penguin...
Let's just hope pokey doesn't poke tux eye... you know, after he went away he might have joined the evil empire
It may sound a little complicated, but it's easy to use. With very little training, Keybowl(TM) typists achieve a speed very close to the one at which they used to type before their injuries.
Injuries?? I see now.. this is for ppl who have no fingers.. who would have thought about that?? I thought that was what speech recognition software was for.. then again, how could you install the damn thing if you don't have fingers to doubleclick or press enter?
I guess I should stop using needlenose pliers in my ears.
I can't really link to the original news story, but this is REALLY old news... and when I say old news, I mean more than 6 months AT LEAST.. please someone back up on me while I look @ my shit and find the original doc.. ok??
I'm sure someone out there has heard about this one before.
it's not like it might be the only reason, and I'm not actually saying it might be a good idea to buy (I wouldn't myself), but AFAIK, 3DMAX only runs on Intel Arch. based processors (i.e. PENTIUM Processors).
That's why I have never tried to buy an AMD, even tho I know they kick intel's ass.
Please correct me if i'm wrong, but I am sure there's a lot of software that goes like that as well.
Back to what this is all about, don't buy the P4. it's like buying 1 gig of RAM, running out of money, and then having to wait 3 or 4 months so you can buy another part.
Take this babe to firingsquad so wa can see how it does QUAKE3!!! YAY!!
