What's wrong with it? Funny is I am reading the book, The Dispossed, by Ursula K LeGuin. I am sure that/.ers will identify with the ideas in this book!
Telkom bashing time!:) It was news to me that DSL was illegal in SA? Telkom's Diginet is completley useless. Damn bloody government granting Telkom exculsive monopoly until 2002. SATRA are toothless poodles. They just managed to screw up 3rd cellular licence process...
I agree that it is not worth extra $300 for extra 5-10 fps. (I can't tell the difference.) But, kudos to nVidia to push the limits higher all time, or we'd be stuck playing mode-x games with VGA cards! I'd get Nv20 or NV25 or whatever since I got GeForce. It was a big jump from Riva128.
We, South Africans have to put up censored discs from UK. Up yours BBFC. (Pommie censor board).
That's why we prefer R1 discs if R2 is censored. If R2 is not, then we get R2 because PAL is better than NTSC.
and DVD naturally. Those multi-angles :)
You tell me, I had to split my 42mb HD into 2 seperate partitions to use all of the space due the DOS' 32 MB limit.
Yeah, I am old fart :)
No wonder that your kemmer is confusing which book. It is in "Left hand of Darkness" not in "The Dispossed"
Then why Linux crowd always moan for lack of games on that OS?! Linux is not everything. Sheesh!

Tell that to R2 DVD publishers. They are ripoff. No wonder R1 DVD are cheap. Even you factor in delivery costs!
Oh, I thought thin client PCs were the wave of the future? Not to mention of Prolog and AI in 1980's?
I don't need this talk of "x is wave of the future" spiel.

Sometimes big money doesn't always work. Look at Microsoft. They have enough dough to buy DOJ out.
Dunno, but UT looks hell better than Q3A. OpenGL was never meant to be gaming gfx platform from day one. DirectX was.
Evil Empires: DEC then IBM then M$ then etc etc
Note for humor impaired: get lost loser!
If that can do better than nVidia then I am for it. I don't think anyone would play q3a on slow poke open video card...
And analog signatures are easily forged. Forgery is an ancient art.
