The latest line of webcams from Philips contains the ToUCam Pro. This puppy can do 60 fps, but in order to do that and a game at the same time, you're going to need some sweet processing power...but it definitely should prevent lag.
Sorry 'bout that link. Dynamic site, so this is the best I can do...
That's not what I'm trying to say, some people don't/can't make their own schedules. These people have to be forced to be in at a certain time and to stay until a certain time. The fact that these people really should get another job has nothing to do with it. It's just that flex-time is a bit difficult for some of us...
Either way, it's still WORK. Even if you develop a pattern that's outside of the normal 9-5, you're still going to be looking at the clock for the last hour or so waiting to get home.
If that's the way you get through your working day, you should stop reading Slashdot and start reading the ads. There are jobs out there where WORK can actually be quite entertaining...

Flex time = Happy workers Shift time = Unhappy workers
Flex time= Happy workers that have to be capable/responsible enough to produce an efficient schedule that works for everybody Shift time = Better for some people...
Is there any real reason why they need to have you at work the same hours as everyone else?
Not if the author is the only coder/whatever it is he/she does present. The moment there are other people working on the same project, some time scheduling at least might benefit the amount of communication between the different employees.
Correction, you and me may prefer it that way, but there are hordes of employees being extremely happy at working 9 to 5, 5 days a week, and not having to think about scheduling their time. Go work in a factory for a little while and check the way the average Homer Simpson reasons...
Throwing heads or tails 256 million times is bound to show up a bigger difference:-)

Heh? Last time I looked TV he looked pretty much like a whiteboy to me? Native American? Cool. Ah well, we (the Dutch) never should have sold New Amsterdam anyway...that would have changed everything...
To be honest, I don't know it, but it somehow seems very unlikely to do this for all drugs, considering the liberalizing attitude towards softdrugs in Europe lately.
Being able to release my anger in a couple of "headshots" right after work when I'm wasting time in the train anyway, yep, it seems there's a market for this...Not to mention being able to take your laptop to a friend, hook it up to a spare monitor and game the night away...
Very, very impressive stats. It's just that the 286 Megapixels sounds a bit familiar somehow. Couldn't they have publicized it as 285 or 287 somehow? This way Joe Schmoe will think he's getting a 10Mhz videocard.
How about a "friendly helpdesk person" that can assist? Shouldn't be too expensive, now should it? Or is that illegal as that friendly person might influence the voters?
You run the risk of not knowing if you poked the hole properly or if you left a "hanging chad" - especially if you're in a hurry.
Take metal poking object.
RTFB(Read the friendly ballot).
Poke hole next to candidate of choice.
Check for "Hanging chad" objects.
Put ballot in box-like object.
Stop whining about "being in a hurry". One election every four years is too much? No wonder [fill in random piece of shit] has a chance of being elected with that kinda attitude.

They didn't keep it inexpensive, they charged you way too much in the past...and they'll keep charging what you're willing to pay. Somebody give me one good reason why there's no 4 GHz processor available at this moment...

Employees, on the whole, prefer flexitime.
