I have owned firearms since I was 13 years old (in my father's name) and have been around them since birth. I have also served 4 years in the Army. After I graduated from college, I received my permit to carry a concealed weapon.
I have never, in all my training, ever heard to "shoot someone in the leg". It is always, "if you raise a firearm, it is to kill. Shoot center mass."
The exception is bird hunting where you lead the bird by 3 inches (depending on distance and speed of course), but it is always to kill - not to maim.

The republicans are giong after ANYHTING Obama does. Why isn't everyoen getting pissed at that? This isn't a sie of the isle complaint. Even when Republican create a bill, and then when Obama agrees and says will sign sign it, the republicans who created the bill back out. WTF?
There is a difference between having a debate and simple going against something because the president is for it.
They would rather the country burned to the ground, the Obama getting elected again.
I've been paying attention to politics since Reagan, and never has it been like this.
Add to that a bunch of people who refuse to accept the established fact that austerity during a recession never works. Look at history.

Nothing will change until we've had enough. Very few have the fortitude to stand against oppression. I'm not sure I'm there yet. I still hold out some hope of the vote. But I'm more cynical each day.
