    IMHO, a childish monopoly is better than a gov't run committee.
    A monopoly is less likely to be a tool for personal political gain.
    A monopoly is less likely to lose funding to the knee-jerk-legisation-of-the-week types.
    A monopoly is less likely to staffed with those-people-who-helped-out-my-campaign-a-lot-so-I -have-to-give-them-a-job-but-whom-I-want -to-keep-at-a-distance-from-my-office.

    Don't get me wrong. A childish monopoly is a bad thing, but consider the alternative...

    The problem is not running red lights, but privacy. The Man doesn't need to know where I take my vacations, where I shop or where I take a piss.
    Humanity goes in cycles, tho. Soon, some technology will swing the discussion in the other direction.

    Under *nominal* conditions:
    CAT5 Ethernet = 100m
    Thicknet (10base5) = 175m (I think)
    Coax (10base2) = 150m

    I wonder how many iterations the antenna in question uses?
    More Iterations= Lower *average* segment length.

    The idea is ingeneous, tho. There are wire (or plate) segments of quite a few lengths and widths in the image shown. This should mean that individual parts of the antenna would work best at different frequencies. Perhaps a better spread-spectrum antenna has been born?
