    yes, shocking, people who immigrated to a foreign nation finally had to learn the nations language, just like everyone else who does that.

    Only in their case, they got to wait a bit longer than most people.

    I'm sorry, but the fact is that the russians that lived in the former baltic states had the ability to learn the native languages for years, but refused in their imperialist pride.

    Furthermore, there is always the option to leave the country they illegally occupied for years and move back to their own nation of russia.

    I actually haven't had hd-dvd, and i can see fine the difference side by side.

    But compared to the huge convenience step from vhs to dvd and the quality increase, especially over time, blueray was unimpressive.

    Dvd quality is good enough for just watching a movie, it doesn't detract really from the movie, unlike vhs's lines, speckles and broken tape.

    The scam was that we traded in a ok system with a broken one, terrible copyprotection and other mess.

    No, there is no push for 4k content and tv's, because the customers see it is the same scam that was blueray.

    Barely visible quality increase at big costs, no extra convenience or anything.

    As i'm living in finland, and we have the same stupid laws incoming....

    The energy put out by the bulb is not wasted, it helps heat the house, which i have to do anyway 10 months per year.
    The other 2 months, it's daylight 20+hours per day, so i don't need lamps anyway.

    most mayor cities(it does get worse in the countryside) that's overpaying quite a bit for 200mbit down.
    around 50 euro for 200 mbit nowadays(10 up)

    wrong, the pipe is directional....so it pushes most of the sound to the rear, only a fraction of the sound goes allround.

    private use, there is only one place in the world afaik that even has gbit internet, that's korea.
    In europe, highest you get is 200mbit(down) in sweden/finland/norway, only in mayor cities.

    200 mbit per customer, means only 5 customers for a gbit. a small area in say stockholm could easily contain 500 customers, that's already 100Gbit.
    Connect all of stockholm or a similar place, and you will need huge backbone connections already, and that is still on city level, not even national, let alone international

    wow, pathetic bankaccount protection in the us and aus then....
    My (old 2000ish) dutch bank had an account nr. with a randomised number generated with a special digipass that used the bankcard, pin and time with a random seed.
    My current finnish bank uses a accountnr, pincode and a onetime pad code to access and confirm
