You are almost right, but ibm did not really support gates that much.
-Msdos:
Bill stole dos for IBM(ibm-dos) and then wrote his own dos(ms-dos) as well.
-Windows:
windows was stolen from Xerox, who wanted to design a new interface for their copiers. Never to be released xerox basically gave this away(they said to the developpers that it was not usable).
Sorry to correct you, your point is offcourse correct.
The primary differences here are that it is Your right to listen to the music that is not being questioned, but their right to broadcast it to you. If u would put a copy of your cd on the mp3 server than it is legal for you to download it anywhere. If mp3.com uses their copy of the cd, they are broadcasting to you, just like a radiostation, wich is a complete different thing. The real problem here is not that it is logical in a normal way, its logical for lawyers.
Living in Holland, we have a little more freedom of speech. If you say, for example: I THINK all germans are nazi's, it is called an oppinion. If you say: all germans are nazi's, it is assault.
Then again i'd like people to think about what they write, so please don't let these kind of ideas ever become real laws. People already say/write too many things without thinking about consequences.
Did you also figured out that compaq installs part of their "modified"bios on a part of the harddisk? Let alone their modified windows-version....even worse than normal windows.
Dude, i can back up juri's claims, i work at the same company. Since he is telling the truth about the brand part, ever seen a compaq? Some brands might give good stuff, but most of all you pay too much for the hardware.
