The content in Saudi Arabia's domestic mass media is under the control of the government, having to pass through censors before it makes it on air or in print. Furthermore, while the press is said to be privately owned, the editor-in-chief of each newspaper is appointed by the government.
Traditional media is already under government control. Thousands of people producing online media are less easy to control, so they're only handing out licenses to those individuals they approve of.
Slightly off-topic (or on-topic considering the bigger picture). Can this method of heat concentration be used in the refinement of silicon. My understanding is that silicon production is expensive because of the energy needed to generate heat for the process.
Indeed, Robert Novak should be held to the same standard for reporting that Valerie Plame worked for the CIA. He received classified information, was warned not to divulge it, but did so anyway.
At common law, and particularly following the passing of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994, adverse inferences may be drawn in certain circumstances where the accused:
* fails to mention any fact which he later relies upon and which in the circumstances at the time the accused could reasonably be expected to mention;
* fails to give evidence at trial or answer any question;
* fails to account on arrest for objects, substances or marks on his person, clothing or footwear, in his possession, or in the place where he is arrested; or
* fails to account on arrest for his presence at a place.
1994: central government (the Home Office) publishes CCTV: Looking Out for You. Prime Minister John Major states: "I have no doubt we will hear some protest about a threat to civil liberties. Well, I have no sympathy whatsoever for so-called liberties of that kind." Between 1994 and 1997, the Home Office spends a total of 38 million pounds of CCTV schemes.
1996: government spending on CCTV accounts for more than three-quarters of total crime prevention budget.
It will be interesting to see how long it takes the Conservative Party to slide back to their old ways.
If you can find a way to rig an election in the State of New York then I'd be real interested in knowing about it.
Put lots of voting machines in the rich, white neighbourhoods, and very few in the poor, black neighbourhoods. That's how they did it, at least, in Ohio in 2004.
I've been getting spam from charities that I've donated to. Every single time when, making a donation, I've unchecked the box that says I want to receive their marketing. Yet, a few months later, they decide that it's OK to start spamming me. When I call them on it, they always claim it was an "error".
The student must take a written and vision examination prior to receiving the Texas Driver License Instruction permit. However, the skills (driving) test will be waived for teenagers who complete both classroom and behind-the-wheel portions of a Texas driver education course. The instructor participating in the Parent Taught Driver Education Program has the option to waive the skills (driving) test or require the student to pass the skills (driving) test administered by DPS prior to issuing a Class C driver license.
So: adults must take the test, teenagers don't need to. Why are my insurance rates so high again?
Here in Texas, youngsters can get a license without having to take any kind of test. They just have their parents sign a form saying they've had drivers' ed training.
It's no wonder there are so many bad drivers on the road.
Then the greedy-ass city council wanted more revenue, so they shortened the yellow-light timing. They now have yellow-light times that are around 2 seconds on most of the camera-watched intersections.
Until Mono gets WPF support there isn't going to be much cross-compatibility. Any Windows.NET developer with any sense is writing in WPF already. WinForms is dead.
But Mono seems quite content to ignore WPF for now. One can't help but think it was part of that Novell/Microsoft deal.
The subset of WPF in Moonlight is useless for non-web development. It's great way for MS to pretend their Flash-killer format is multi-platform though.
They also pay all the same taxes that US citizens do. However, they are not able to claim many of the benefits of those taxes, such as unemployment.
I don't know where you get that "contractual obligation" crap from. If you have an H-1B visa, you have to have a return ticket home before they'll even let you into the country. The employer has no extra expenses when laying off an H-1B worker.

Really? I just Googled it and couldn't find anything to that effect.

There are other inferences too, from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Right_to_silence#England_and_Wales

Beer that gives you the shits?
Oh wait, that's already been invented.
With concealed carry laws in Texas, violent crime has dropped significantly, even as it rises in other populous nations.
Nonsense.

No, that's the 486dx/sx you're thinking of. The 386sx had a 16-bit data bus, half that of the dx.
That's easy: http://www.guidebookgallery.org/screenshots/win31
Looks like it was a panel of Republican appointees. Hardly surprising they come out on the side of the corporations.

If you think that's bad, teenagers don't even need to take the driving test in order to get a license in Texas. From http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/administration/driver_licensing_control/parenttaught.htm

Do you have anything to back that up?
This report suggests that rumour isn't true, and the Texas Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices defines 3 to 6 seconds for the yellow light. ftp://ftp.dot.state.tx.us/pub/txdot-info/trf/final_report_rlc_1008.pdf (last page).

Uhh dude, you have your facts wrong on so many counts here.
H-1B workers do live here. That's the whole point of the non-immigration visa.

I would have said Songs Of Praise but that apparently starts at 6. If you've never seen it, this (very old) parody sums it up quite nicely: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RpNIwx32F30
I understand the original spec for Duke Nukem Forever had this as its target platform.
Tycho Brahe had a nose made of silver and gold.
And his friend had copper knickers.
