So what, do we have to pay M$ licensing fees for our EMC box's phone-home feature... They've had that feature for years... and IBM's had it in the RS/6000 (pSeries) for ages; it's called Service Director. Great thing. I think Bill Gates is rich enough.
That's bull. I've found that for massive text and XML processing that Perl kicks C#'s butt, hands down. We're talking parsing a 200 MB XML file takes 5 minutes in Perl, using 6MB of RAM and C# took 45 minutes and 400 MB of RAM.
I tend to agree that Oracle is the best, but small companies cannot afford its ridiculous prices for a small web site or even large one. As you will see here, a small department in NASA even had to switch from Oracle to MySQL due to budgetary constraints.....
Steve Jobs should patent the Right-Click! That would be a a way to make all PC owners pay for the privilege of clicking with their right mouse button. It's would also be a pretty good effort to boost Apple sales and destroy the Empire of Gates. Of course, us UNIX users who live in telnet land would not be effected!

MS just spent MONTHS recoding the search for MSDN and it still sucks. Using Google I get results millions of times better....

The problems started at about 4:30EDT this morning in New Jersey...
So in ten (10) years we've gone from 120MB hard drives to 320GB.... wow........ what's next???
We've had one of these at my company for at *LEAST* two years.
All I'm going to say is MPE/iX. That's our security through obscurity... and can't forget those gem-like DOS boxes....
