Did they help in your conquest to get "laid" ICQ has tons of features which could be categorized as bloat if they dont assist in doing what the IM client is for letting people communicate efficiently.

I found a nice IM client called imici which runs on Linux, Windows and FreeBSD (Mac in development) it runs AIM, ICQ, MSN, and Yahoo's IM's concurrently. It's a clean interface with no ads (something both aim and icq windows clients force on you). It's not open source but hey it's only an instant messenger. It's a clean client but still new and needs features, most of which I will trade for not having to look at ads. I've only run the Windows client so forgive me if there are inaccuracy's with the Linux or FreeBSD version.

Do I own the right to put that music on my hard drive, a sort of encompasing liberty over the data and object. If I do own it then am I not free to anything I please with it? Once I own that Playstation it's _mine_ the modifications I make to it should at worst void a warranty. Just like if I buy a car, it's legal for me to modify it to the point that it may put myself or others in danger. Does sony also not have the option to produce unmodifiable playstations? Maybe the Austrialian legislature needs too look not at citizens who in just owning a playstation have the potential to modify and play ripped games on it, but at sony for making it possible to do so, and at the entity's making it possible to easily modify it. Next thing you know the playstation itself will be outlawed.

  14. Broadband enabled internet play on The Modem Lives On · · Score: 1

Playing most new games over modems just isnt worth playing at all. I'm currently a dialup customer but I've had cable service in the past and have found that games like half-life (when the milestone netcode was introduced around counter-strike 5.2) make the broadband experience WORSE because the page refreshes on the netcode cant support dialup users without hindering the broadband gamer, part of that is engine and part of it is netcode.

Either way I think server side options should put in place to allow/support of broadband only gaming where 2/4 Kbps would be used normally the ammound of constant transfer could be upped to say 8/10 Kbps which would probably would make a big difference. Those of you who played HL pre netcode fix know that the prediction schemes only hinder game play to support the modem crowd. Modem users have a lot of great games to choose from and I dont want to shut them out either. I just think the option for a broadband enabled server might be a good thing.
