oh, a politically incorrect justification. Okay.

So the justification for why women are paid less than men is that they're actually not. There are a lot of variables and when you go through them you find that being female CORRELATES with certain other valuables that CAUSE the pay gap but the pay gap is itself not CAUSED by gender itself.

An example of this would be the people that work for Hillary Clinton's campaign. I believe the women on her staff make about 75~80 percent what the men make. Now, if you stick with your simplistic pay gap statistics and then ASSUME that the pay gap is due to discrimination or misogyny or something then you'd be forced to say that Hillery Clinton discriminates against women.

It doesn't stop there though because you'll find this pattern in Obama's staff as well as a lot of other places that the cultural marxists don't want to shine a light.

Look, you can't start a class war so you're trying to play up any kind of made up tension you can create between races or genders or ethnic groups or religions. Because what you want is to create a lot of US vs THEM hostility and then feed off the chaos.

That's your game. And it works because people are stupid and lazy and credulous and those that aren't tend to be too afraid or contemptuous to make a difference.

The problem you're increasingly running into is that you can't silence people on the internet. You can't play identity politics with me as much as you'd love to call people I know and tell them I'm banging 9 year olds. Its just not an option for you. And this leaves you with nothing but to get madder and madder and trollier and trollier. :)

Your entire world view is a lie. ;-)

Women are not paid less than men. PEOPLE that work LESS or work in less demanding jobs are paid less.

That is what is going on. Which is why in many cases if you get the gender gap people talking long enough they'll say stuff like "well it is sexist to pay women less even if they work less because facts of the female body/the species compel women to not work as much as men."... Which is a more honest argument. However, the reality is that society does pay women more than men. The vast majority of subsidy money and charity money for medical issues goes to women. Comparatively little goes to men. Societies that don't take care of women don't last. And here someone will bring up Saudi Arabia or some tribe in Africa or whatever... and that's fantastic but that isn't the US... which is what we're talking about.

Women are fine. There are just some "issues" trolls that like to play people off each other and feed on it for power, money, influence.

It's garbage. The pay gap was actually disproven about ten seconds after it was first proposed. The statistics on it were always crap. I remember in one case a woman working at a reception desk for a coal mine was conflated with the guys that actually work INSIDE the coal mine... digging coal. A lot of that is going on in these stats.

I believe the most exhaustive study on the pay gap was actually done by some feminists out of Vermont... possibly Maryland. I don't remember. I can find the stats if I need to... and because they had integrity they did not distort their data to show a pay gap. What they did do was whine about how it was unfair that women have babies. But they did actually show that the biggest pay gap they could actually point to was about 2 percent. Which is frankly within the margin of error for something this vague.

    So there you go.

As to women in the sex trade making less than men in the sex trade, statistically I think women actually make more in that profession. A male and a female are not interchangable in the various sex industries so I think that is one of the few industries where it isn't valid to make direct sex comparisons.

And you assume other things... you assume that your security people can tell the difference between someone with security clearance and a birthday clown.

We assume that the people with clearance obtained it legitimately.

We assume that the people that were given security didn't subsequently decide to sell us out for hookers and blow.

    Assumptions.

And there are good assumptions... assumptions that really will hold under most circumstances and bad assumptions.

And good security is basically a process of separating out good assumptions from dumb ones. Then recognizing that your dumb assumptions were a convenient fig leaf you put over serious vulnerabilities that you actually don't have a good solution for...

And then you need to actually come up with a GOOD assumption that covers for what were previously laughable assumptions.

If your security is based on interlocking layers of good assumptions... are you unhackable? I don't know... its a question of perfection and perfection is hard in this universe. BUT... really fucking good security? Near perfect? Sure. I mean... you can do "excellent"... excellent is possible.

But that's not to say that even good security should be discounted as crap. Good is often the best security possible because excellent requires time and money and competent management and users that don't have their heads wedged up their asses.

Now will good security keep ze germans out or whatever? Typically yeah. Even good security is a bitch to get through even for a state sponsored hacking team.

What keeps embarressing people is SHIT security or NO security.

That is what keeps failing. Not "good security"... not "excellent security"... not "perfect security"...

F'ing none at all keeps failing.

So... lets not geek out on the "perfect" or "unhackable" claim. And instead lets focus on whether or not the change to the OS makes Windows have "good security". If it accomplishes so much as that then we're doing well. If they pushed it up a notch and it's EXCELLENT... Then we're doing very very well indeed.

You can get stinking rich without fucking over your customer. I can cite a lot of very very very rich people that are feared by their COMPETITORS not their customers.

Oracle has been sucking people into their products and then nickle and diming for basic shit for ages. Its not competitive.

They need a pricing model that better reflects the market, better addresses their competitors products which are often radically cheaper, and yet still gives us the enterprise focus that has made Oracle the go to company for enterprise databases.

This is all doable, wouldn't cost oracle a lot of money, and they'd get new customers from smaller businesses.

One thing that is so surprising to me about Oracle is that they focus exclusively on enterprise clients despite the fact that they could offer per user pricing or something that made their software affordable for smaller businesses. And thus when smaller businesses get bigger... Oracle would have a lock on their business because they were being used from the beginning.

The other thing I've noticed a lot with Oracle is that it is pirated a lot. The Oracle training programs they offer... the certification programs... they give people copies of the software... and now you have some database programmer wandering around trying to get a job programming databases and he can only program enterprise databases... what happens when he gets a job for a smaller company? He installs Oracle anyway... fraudlently because no one at that level is paying the Oracle licensing fee.

I've seen this in a lot of medium sized businesses... they are running Oracle... but they're paying zero dollars. And before someone says "but what if they're sued for piracy!"... doesn't really happen in the real world. Yes... occasionally... one in a million will get busted. But really it isn't enough for anyone to care. I mean... some percentage of the population is going to get stuck by lightning every year... doesn't' stop you from going outside.
