maybe it won't matter because by that point Windows will be a remotely hosted subscription service.
Windows ND (next degradation:-) will only be available through (inter)network-booting from the microsoft.com. This is to make sure that only people who bought a license can boot it, to prevent any problems with people not keeping up to date with patches on their software (see, there is something good about it)
C'mon, you know you'd love to see a Microsoft bug take out the whitehouse site, anyhow.
A couple of things have gone on in my head today. One of them was '"heheheheh, let's see if the US government still wants to drop the cases against m$ now"' and the other one was a when 'Balmer bumps into Gates and says "I told you to do abandon these cyber-terrorist-group when Bush got president."'. something a la swordfish...
I recently installed NetBSD/i386 under FreeBSD's VMware. It gave me weird time-outs of minutes while waiting for cd0 (after pciidde0), com0 (after isa0), pcppi0 (after wsdisplay0) and isapnp0 (after fd0). If this sounds familiar for somebody and got it fixed, please let me know.
For the rest it ran fine, it's just the bootup of half an hour which worries me:-)
Or even solves them. Tried to run xlockmore build on a XFree86 3.3.6 system last week on an XFree86 4.1.0 system. Didn't work. Rebuild the port, saw in the Makefile that it was configuring the new one differently because it saw I had 4.1.0 running. Loved it:-)
Last summer my gf and I got a bed & breakfast in Perth, Scotland and the host told us about a 100% guarantee on meeting Nessie method:
Most people go to Loch Ness, drive around for hours, don't see anything, feel sad, go to a local pub and drink a lot of Scottish Whiskey.
This is not the right way, because Nessie is attracted to whiskey-fumes and when you're in the pub she can't smell them.
So you should go to the lake of Loch Ness, enter a local pub, drink a lot of Scottish Whiskey, walk to the lake, breath out and watch Nessie coming to you... The more you drink, the better your chances!
What happened to the original author of DeCCS? Is he still in jail, or can he again watch his DVDs at home while running his favourite OS? After all, that's what DeCCS was for in the first place...
I agree, the complex is impressive, but winter 2000 when I was there (read: july 2000:-) the restaurant had a sign saying that it was closed forever and the museum didn't have any information really related to this complex.
Oh, and the security guard didn't want to let us go past the STOP sign...

The episodes of the two seasons of RobotWars consisted of three parts:
- a trip through a maze on which people could
show how well they are able to control their
robots.
- a fight against a house-robot, sometimes based
on strength, sometimes based on cleverness,
sometimes based on dexterity.
- and at the end, fights against the other robots.
Maybe you consider it tame, but this showed that competing is more than smashing each other heads in with a stick.
Season three is btw only fight against the other robots...

See http://httpd.chello.nl/~h.lambermont/soundproof/ for how a friend of me did do it. Not that I would do it this way but it shows a good example.

It's not really the OS/2 one, but at http://dfm.online.de/ you can find a file-manager which works just like the OS/2 WPS.

An interesting note, this solar sail is to be launched atop a former ICBM from a submarine. That, my friend, is the essence of cool.
