My sister worked at a Wherehouse at a local mall which went of business. She got a job at this pizza place which then went out of business. Then over to Kmart whose stock turned to junk bond status. Guess I should ask where she's working these days...
History:
WWII. Nazis. Hitler's 'super men.' How bad would it have been had they had human cloning?
Grandfather Clause:
What if you are not a clone, but your father or mother is? Would regulations governing clones apply to you? Would those regulations apply to people with a certain 'clone percentage' in their family trees? And why am I thinking about laws from the 1800s defining people as black who have a certain portion of black ancestors?
Fiction:
It's been a long time since i've read about it, but I seem to recall a Superman storyline talking about Krypton having clone banks, clashes over clone rights, etc.. I'm not sure, but I think this was before Dolly the sheep.
The genie will either stay in or out of the bottle- there won't be peeking.
If it's government-controlled access to all technology one wants to read about, i'd suggest the Man-Kzin wars. ARM withholds technology from the public, to the point of jeopardizing humaninity's survival.
A handheld that accepts IBM microdrives and also lets me run a C64 emulator like Frodo. The goal being to have every single C64 game in my pocket. Are any of the handhelds able to run just any old windows program (Frodo) or are they different enough that this wouldn't work? How different is wince from win?

If the government is making procedural mistakes now, won't those mistakes be possible grounds for getting the trial thrown out later?

And what if Bill Gates was a Slaver?
