    What games are there for linux that will play on a laptop (sony viao xg29 with 256megs of ram)?

    I find that games run nice in linux if you run the said two above, otherwise its harder to get high fps?

    I ask this because I have a desktop that this card is going to land in and a laptop that i want to be able to play this game with. Both are for lan parties, but I cant tell what distro I want to use, what are the pro's and cons? I am stuck with two distros as my choices (I can download the ISO's (so that means suse is out):
    1. Debian
    2. Redhat
    What are peoples experences with these two?

    I have asthma and I find during sleep that I will have attacks if i become too hot. Air filters are great btw.

    I live near this area.

    I want to say that Orielly gives back to the community.

    What few people might try and break this would be out numbered by the number of people that would pay for this sort of thing.
    The number of people that would be beniftied by this would be great. Schools would have highspeed access, kids who wouldnt have access otherwise.
    And yes it is possible to do long range point to point, but then you have to hook it up to each computer.There inlies your real cost, your real reason for having a DMZ on an 802.11 network.

    This is a great idea and I forone am going to go out there with my laptop as soon as I get my new lucent 802.11 card.

    Now there there is a fully endorsed spec by the W3C how long till it gets full support?

    Is XML what we have all been looking for?
    I think it is. I cant wait untill I can define everything about something with minimal effort of crossing paths with a black cat (so to speak)...I Dont see any downsides to XML, does anyone?

    I know I havent been doing alot of hand writing as of late. I type as fast as I think. I cant even begin to write in a readable format when I try and write that fast. Its ineffectiant...

    I agree with you on that and its even worse when its for production use with the "Five Nines" slogan.

    Also most software that is open comes with a disclamer about them not being held responsible.

    I think QTVR is a good way to do it.

    Just use hot spots to link different movies together. QTVR isnt open but its the best option to do it with out using some hand written java applet. I am also partial to never using java for anything... Any one else?

    One thing I really like about the open source movement is that never ceases to make me happy.

    This is a great example of community acting in a fun and open way.

    Not for greed, but because its fun.
    A sense of community that I don't see in the rest of my life (Where I live, where I work).
    It makes life worth living when you enjoy it.

    I think your missing the point.

    You should so sure of yourself that it seems that your being naive.
    This might work for you, and thats your choice, but I wouldnt want people to know what I didnt want to tell them. Indy has people visting it that are likely to want to stay under wraps. Even if you dont like it, dont stop it, its the last free thing we can do. That is once we pay to get online...
