FAA is the same with airlines, they have a conflict of interest in their mission statement to both promote air travel and be responsible for safety. Lyndon Johnson made his considerable personal fortune manipulating the FCC for personal gain in acquiring Texas broadcast entities. The outdated mission statements of these parastatal entities need to be rewritten for the common good. Scumbaggery abides and will continue to do so otherwise.

  3. Aspergers much? on Best Seating Arrangement For a Team of Developers? · · Score: 3, Insightful

Arthurian setup would suck for high functioning autistics. Sounds like a job for Temple Grandin.

  4. For those with O/C'd Celeron 300(a)s on The Celeron Casts Aside Its Crutches · · Score: 1

If you want a good bang for the buck, Get an OEM Celeron II 566 ($60), a slotket ($10) and a decent cooling unit like a Golden Orb ($12). Pop it in and up the clock speed to 100mHz--tweak voltage as required. Voila! Celeron II 850 Mhz with no need to upgrade to PC133 memory! Runs about like a PIII 733 for most purposes. Make sure your slotket has voltage adjustment tweakability, though (especially if you have an Abit BH6 or BX6 Mobo) and use thermal grease. Best move I ever made.

  5. SEAD/Iron Fist is perfect for drones+ on Unmanned (But Armed) Aircraft Experiments In 2001 · · Score: 1

Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses is the perfect use for the little pilotless bastards. They already used swarms of them in the Gulf War as radar decoys. Situational awareness is the key factor in whether you screw up or you don't in launching non-SEAD attacks. 2025 sounds about right for twitch kids taking over the red buttons. Not. Would you rather have a human or a swarm of TwitchGeeks on caffeine whom you don't know guarding your carrier group? It's more a cultural issue than a technolgical one. --kosmonot
