I seem to recall AOL offering a standalone email client based on Thunderbird. If not, I know I've seen people using Thunderbird to access their AOL email. I'd recommend using that (or any standalone email client for that matter) and GMail Loader to import the mail into GMail. That's how I transitioned email from all of my old accounts into GMail.
How did you go about creating this filter? There is no way to setup a filter based on which folder gmail puts it into, yet you have to tell it to match something.
The newer cards that you mentioned are mainly geared towards 3D performance because their biggest market (the gamers) want the utmost 3D performace they can get. If you want good 2D performance, you'd probably be better off buying the cards that are geared towards the workstation market (like nVidia's Quadro NVS line) instead of the gaming market. Also, as has been mentioned, DVI-capable cards and an LCD will give an improvement.
It's not just important for 'fail-safe mode.' There will probably never be a time when every distribution has NVIDIA's binary drivers included in their distribution, especially during the install. Also, there are people that won't use NVIDIA's drivers either because of stability problems or legal/moral grounds. This provides a welcome alternative.
Wow, I didn't know the kernel left -test status and increased 9 versions since yesterday. Andrew Morton must be on top of things to get a -mm patch out that quick, too.
While trillian is a decent Windows AIM client, the lack of the ability to parse html in profiles and away messages is, IMO, a serious downfall. This is a simple feature to include, but they do not provide this feature with the free client. I had been using Trillian for it's ability to keep all IM conversations in one window, but now that there's Gaim, I see no reason to use Trillian.
And how about the Offspring? Those guys crmbled to the will of Sony faster than you can say countersuit.
If I recall correctly, The Offspring weren't backing down which is when Sony threatened to sue. At that point the Offspring were still going to go through with it and there was the possibility of them suing Sony, but they then worked out a compromise to avoid everyone suing everyone.

Good job editors.
