Look into unison. I use it on my powerbook and desktop and it just saved 99% of my files from my disk crash last week. The only ones I lost were the ones I wasn't synching (I have a lot of data). I got the max os x binary by looking here: http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/unison-users/
Check out the virtual desktop from codetek It has focus follows mouse as wel as the ability to have a pager window (think fvwm from linux days). And no, I don't work there, I just happen to really like the product and have been very impressed with their support and bug fixes.
Has anyone else tried to export photos to a web page from the new iphoto? It looks like it requires a.mac account! That is just WRONG if it is true. Workarounds?
