    Problem is that older tools like FTP and SSH use fixed 64K windows, regardless of what the system setting is because the app can override the OS setting.

    Getting all the software and OS configs to play nice is not easy, and a jittery connection will kill the performance.

    Acceleration tools help smooth that out. I have squeezed 1 Gbit throughput over a 200Mb pipe from UK to Colorado using these tools. (I migrate data for a living, I have patents in the field)

    My lifelong hobby, baking, cooking, pickling, and making foods like sausages, bacon, and other cured meats at home, came from taking Home Economics in HS.

    Everyone should be able to make basic healthy foods, not just nuke a can or tray of something.

    WHY is unimportant. It is an observable fact.

    Most of the "reasons" are mistaking causality for causation.

    Quite frankly, people make STEM and IT jobs look more attractive than they are. If I knew what I know now, I would have kept on with being a baker, not an IT architect.

    Hell, my plan is to get out, and go back to baking bread, like Ken Forkish did.

    That is what you use Silverpeak or Riverbed TCP/IP accelerators to de-dup data, compress, and spoof ACK packets to keep the pipe full.

    You don't want two lanes of cyclists next to each other.
    Unexpectedly, an oncoming cyclist the the greatest threat to another cyclist for injury or death.

    Err, what?

    Only my vintage Honda has the option to turn off the lights, the Fed MANDATE daytime running lights. They are not all that dimmer than a normal headlight.

    And pulsing lights are a huge visibility plus for motorcyclists and bicyclists alike, even taking into consideration target fixation.

    Yep, until I hit 40, I was rated at 12/20 vision. I could see at 20 feet what most people needed to be at 12 feet to see.

    Now I have to wear glasses if I want my better than 20/20 vision back.

    Get unlimited dataplan (Includes roaming, very important)
    Get free WiFi hotspot so laptop uses phone for access.

    With roaming I am rarely out of someone's network, so long as I am near some level of civilization.

    Unless said scooter and Ferrari are IN TRAFFIC.

    All tools are superior in their intended use cases.

    The a-10 gun aims DOWN 2 degrees, so to shoot another aircraft it must be intentionally mis-aligned with the target.

    That same angle makes sure the A-10 can strafe without diving directly at the ground... which is why 0 angle deflection aircraft like fighters are lousy at ground strafing targets.
