  1. Game that can easily be Distributed on Good Games for LAN Parties? · · Score: 2, Interesting

DOOM! Get the DOOM 1 and or DOOM 2 WAD and DOOM Legacy. Can run on Linux, Windows, Macs, Whatever. DOOM is quite old and someone is sure to have one of the WADs somewhere, or just go and find them and DL them yourself. DOOM COOP or DM, Either are good. And if some of you get real board, you can do the 3 display Pan view thing with 3 computers. Should be in the manual.

    8. Is your son obsessed with "Lunix"?

BSD, Lunix, Debian and Mandrake are all versions of an illegal hacker operation system, invented by a Soviet computer hacker named Linyos Torovoltos, before the Russians lost the Cold War. It is based on a program called "xenix", which was written by Microsoft for the US government. These programs are used by hackers to break into other people's computer systems to steal credit card numbers. They may also be used to break into people's stereos to steal their music, using the "mp3" program. Torovoltos is a notorious hacker, responsible for writing many hacker programs, such as "telnet", which is used by hackers to connect to machines on the internet without using a telephone.

I personally use VPN on my cable line for access to my home box from school. The thing is that I Have firewalled out the rest of the world from accessing the ports the VPN Server uses for it's little Java client web server and the acctual server, Except for the place I am comming from. So unless my Cable provider does some strange thing with spoofing addresses they can't really see them. What they can't see can't hurt them. I am lucky enough though to not have either one of the "C" Cable internet companies so I really don't have to worry that much.

  9. Re:Sad on GameCube Really And Truly For Sale · · Score: 1

I don't think it's a Noble cause at all; I'm in it purely for financial gain. I talk of the families who MUST get their kids the new Game system, because the Kid Demands it and will be heart broken if he doesn't. The Parent who is so weak as to say no to their kid who wants the latest and greatest of the year (Disputable, I know, lets not get into an X-Bob Vs; GameCube thing here) and don't have the power to say no. They have so much money that they can buy their kid this new thing for Christmas, well then I would be GLAD to take their money. Maybe buy myself a nice new Radon or GF3. On eBay, I'm gonna put the starting price so I would just break even (That includes the Chinese Buffet I got while waiting till midnight) And let it go from there. The Other trick is that I kept my receipts, and never opened the boxes, so if things for some reason don't go well, I Can take them back and again, break even (Cept for that Chinese Buffet), and just pass this weekend off as a fun campout at Wal-Mart. So really I can't be left "holding the bag" (The 3 bags are hanging, out of harms reach, in my closet btw). And us scalpers will continue to be the early birds and prey off of the late and lame ones. That is how the world works. Sad and Cruel, but true none the less.

It was Rather Scary, one person who had the wasn't there at 6 to get a voucher to turn in at midnight, Followed me and my friends out of walmart and to our car. Earlier someone got mugged in the parking lot for their voucher. I'm Sticking them on eBay soon as they are good and out of them and let the people who MUST have one get one. I Do have to say though that the Controler is nice. I'm not big on Consoles but if I could take this things controler and put it into my computer for PC Gaming, I would. Hell, I'm not a Console gaming person at all, but I really want to take one of these thgins out of the box and go buy a game for them. And what does having the GameBoy Advanced do when you plug it in? Can it act like another player or something?

Now it's past midnight and I can't even see the damned telephone poll accross the street. Pittsburh got screwed outta this one.

They are the ones that lead me to my decision on which CDRW to buy and I have been nothing but happy with it. You can find a link to a DVD Comparison of theirs Here which gives a comparison between them and different drives and such. They will also give you links and info on DVD Backup software that you can use.

I Hate to advertise and all, but there is something like what your looking for at http://www.Echo.Com. They Stream Music to you in a radio like way, except you get to vote to skip songs, and You also would rate the music. They have a good variety of songs, but it seems to take them a few weeks/months to get new releases. If you made a company station and just had everyone make and account and join that station. If you want it played from a central source, just hook the computer up to a sound system and have it play what ever the echo player is. The thing is that they would be able to listen to it themselves on whatever machine they were at as long as it had a soundcard.

On the note of hardware, I would use an SB Live. I Have one myself and love it. Greatest Sound Card I have ever owned.

-Roof - A Roof is a nice addition. Sometimes those florescent lights are too annoying. Don't get something like Solid Wood, more like netting that is held up by dowel rods.

-White Noise - A small white noise generator is something that I have from time to time found very nice to have. Soothing and stuff.

-Astroturf - If you can get it. Gives that Natural Feeling like the plants and stuff

-Gerbil w/ Gerbil Tubing - Get a Gerbil Cage with the Tubing Additions, and lots of them. Wrap it around the inside of your Cubical, so he can run all around it. Put Several Gerbils in there, There would be MORE then enough room, and have Multiple Cages too. You can then use the tubes as a place to Wrap the ivy around, Hang small things, etc, etc.
