All I have to say is that they'd better mail all affected persons before-hand and inform them of the opt-out method. Otherwise, despite the courtesy of providing said method, they would be just as evil as the spammers who don't care if people try to opt-out.
For younger kids, Johns Hopkins' CTY is one of the best programs ever. The curriculum is high level with a great deal of individual attention despite a large number of people on each campus.
For older kids, why not just get a job. There are lot of internship programs. In the Washington area there is one such program through George Washington University, which I wasn't able to find a page for.
All good employers should offer dial-in to their intranets. That way you don't have the set space limits too. Or if you're net admin, you can usually set up a machine from spare parts laying around, and use that as your server. . .
Part of the advantage of the EE major as I see it is the ability to adapt our degree to a wide range of applications. A large number of EE majors go into automotive engineering, and two friends of mine just became electricians.
And as mentioned above, software developement is fairly easy to learn, and a good crutch to have (also a good skill when going for any real EE job).
Go to a lot of job fairs and you will be fairly well assured that you will get one or two offers at least. Otherwise learn french and join the Peace Corps.:)
I believe it's actually just as previously mentioned, an attempt to make money off of those who are too lazy to fill out the forms. The sales tax bit is just a side effect. After all, why would a big corporation want less for themselves? The only possible case in which the gov't angle may work is automotive rebates, which are almost always cashed, so who knows?
These tech workers were doing traditional jobs. They were making traditional sized wages. These weren't programmers or net admins. Opposing their ability to organize is the same as opposing the Bell/Verizon strike which was also well justified.
If the tech employees have so much power, then they would have on reason to unionize. Management will always have more power than their employees, that's why they're managers.
Tell her that her new login is administration, and give that account guest user status. See how long it takes her. Then say oops I'll get on it. At this point you sit on the server for a coupla' seconds.
Well at least they have a chance to crack the messages. Would they rather they only communicate in person in rooms which are stringently bug-checked first? They should be making really big computers which can trivialize encryption and encouraging people to think it's safe . . .
[FBI employee] - No boss, I wasn't looking at porn, I was searching for terrorist plans. Honest!
This would be awfully boring. I like all the loads of different chips, that different manufacturers make so unique. Sure this means Intel will patent basic machine instructions, but compiler writers would be bored out of their skulls very quickly. Also, it helps many among us profit off of the different stocks, whereas a collective design wouldn't allow for as much market fluctation. And we wouldn't get to see as many nifty hidden pictures in the chips if they were all designed by committee.
Recent computers have been changing this. Emachines, Compaq, even TigerDirect has a case with accessible USB and game ports. Besides, there are extension cables and hubs which can allow easier access.
Also if the link is a redirect it should dump into a stack for your own visual approval of the redirect. Also when you look at pornography, you wouldn't have to close windows super-quick when you get trapped.
I gotta say this would affect a company's stats for ad viewing as well, so nobody with major content providing interest (ZDNet, Tucows, everyone who sells ads) would likely be too interested in hosting.
You create an airlock. Every opening has two doors, vents are covered by metal grids, and power is delivered through iron rings via inductance. Read up about military facilities, they do it all the time. Besides it was a joke.:)
Put a faraday cage in the walls of your house, and block EMP too.
Jack Nicholson macho thriller??
on
The Pledge
·
· Score: 2
What was his last thirller? As Good as it Gets? Maybe A Few Good Men. Most likely Batman. Other than the stuff he made before he was famous, Jack Nicholson isn't typically in macho thrillers. The vast majority of his films do thrill, but are not advertised as "thrillers".
A lot of people may rag on IRIX, but for those of us who us it at work, this may be a godsend. Those machines are expensive as heck, and Exceed can't handle every application. Plus the option to port IRIX apps to an OS with excellent Java support is so awesome it makes me want to cry.
Somebody should be able to connect a MIDI controller and have it print music out. One could just jam and transcribe it at the same time. That would be ideal, but so would free beer. Until then . . . .
Does anybody remember Mao at all? All the times people were encouraged to express themselves. There was always a crackdown. If I were in China, I would run like hell from any computers which were online.
I want to use WAP for an easy home network. I will company pay one big company to do it. They have to pay another big company. I have to pay the first company more money so they can pay the royalty fees. I lose. I'm friggin p'od. That's why.

Incremental Update Patches - Incremental Update = Patches
I've gotten patches which spanned disks before, so wouldn't that make them incremental too?
I thought LockheedMartinsucks.com was their division that created the intake for their jet engines. If ever I would have agreed with WIPO . . . :)

Stop running your non-unix and switch to one of those "unix variants". Wine should shut you up just fine. :)

So I ramble, I started on-topic . . .

Radeon's don't offer support for anything but windows, and if you do run one on windows the software is laughably bad.
Shouldn't the US gov't get props or cash of some form. Are there ever again going to be payments to the developer of this widely used system?
Growth Sector did this a while ago. They have the demo up still. It's under the exhibition link. Pretty neat stuff.

AT&T dropped it
Sprint, AOL, and Bell South mentioned here halfway down the page
I also have a vague recollection of the Sprint system being used for the some Hip Hop Awards that Busta Ryhmes hosted. Hope this helps.
