Use BeOS. This thing is awsome. Want to open a 400MB movie? Go ahead. I'm here playing 3 MP3s and a Movie of Bill Gates getting a Pie in the face while playing Doom. Perfect quality, fully responsive....
I still can't belive how much BeOS rocks on multimedia. I know I'll probably get modded down for saying this, but out of all the OSs I've tried for Multimedia Linux is the worst. Sound is usally choppy and my video framerates suck. Windows is quite a bit better but still sucks...
Anyway for Multimedia stuff, needless to say use BeOS, maybe a Mac or Windows, but not Linux. Linux was just not designed for that kind of stuff.
The problem is with cards that KILL certain decks, and just plain Un-Fun cards.
I usally build decks that after a while become unbeatable, when that happens I literally toss the deck against my bedroom wall. Now THAT is fun. Seeing a deck that wins 90% of the dime be redused to cards on the floor is a great feeling, especially when you start to rebuild a deck that dominates. Or when a card that is so un-fun, like one I had that causes swamps to be sacrificed when used, gets ripped to sheds, never to be used again.
I can't see how people can have fun playing a deck that always wins, it really is fun to lose sometimes. It's also MUCH more fun to play with 5 people for fun than it is to play against anouther person in the final of a tournament for lots of $$$$.
Remember Magic and other games are meant to be FUN not to do anything else.
The same went for a handle that "infringes on any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, right of publicity, or other proprietary right of any party or impersonates any person or entity, including any employee or representative of America Online."
Oh, Crud! There goes my idea of joing AOL and using the DeCSS source code as my Screen Name.....
When questioned on weather this has anything to do with bad security in Windows Bill Gates replied:
"HA! Bad security in Windows? See the GNU at the beginning? That is what's causing this. Anything to do with GNU WILL cause harm to your computer, eat your filesystem, documents, grandma, etc... Besides the only ones getting effected are evil music theives..."
Bill was later seen walking away with a bag with the words "RIAA Bribe money" over his shoulder.
If this works it will show that Open Source can work as a business model and hopefully other companys will try open souce out. But if this fails it will scare other companys from trying open source. I hope people will pay for the server so that it suceeds.
Anyway I'd kill for the souce code to The Sims....

Old games and ROMS can serve as demos for other or the same games. I know I wouldn't have bought Rollercoaster Tycoon if I hadn't of downloaded and got addicted to Transport Tycoon. And while ROM site say "These are for demonstration only *wink*" I (seriously) only use them for demos.
Suprisingly enough out of all the many consoles and stuff I have to play games on I spend most of my money on my Gameboy Color. Before going out and buying a game I first download a ROM of it and play it for a while, this is quite easy with Gameboy ROMS being only 500KB or so. Heck if it hadn't been for ROMS I'd never of got a Gameboy or about 10 games. If I were to try to do this with PSX games I'd have a big problem with them being huge to download and then I'd have to mod my PlayStation and burn a copy. So instead of being able to try out the games firsthand I have to rely on reviews from around the web.
Anyway if this post means anything it's to tell game companys that to sell games better give the buyers a chance to try them out first. I know that they could make demo ROMS of Gameboy games or N64 games or whatever and let people download them. This would reduce the amount of people downloading N64 games just to try it and then gaetting addicted to it and play through the whole thing and not buying the game, but would also increase the people trying out the games that wouldn't download the ROMS because it's illeagle.
My 10 year old brother signed up for a hotmail address about a week ago used it once to send a message to his dad and next thing he knows he's getting 14 spam messages a day, about a third of them from porn sites.... He has an easy one to get randomly just 4 letters... Naturally he just mass deletes them all unlike me where I dump the address and get a new one, though my second hotmail address I use to sign up for stuff, sort of a spam address.... Anyway my current one somewhere at yahoo has yet to recive spam....

No, I use Notepad or vi for just about any writing I have to do, but then again I don't do much writing....
