While it's true that MS has enough cash to pay just about any fine, it's stock price will get hit bad. Any fine paid is going to be charged against it earnings/share, and that's what Wall Street looks at. I think a few hundrend million dollar fine would work wonders.
>>(Dell actually has negative inventory, considering that their terms usually say they pay 30 days after receiving the parts, or so I hear).
Paying 30 or even 45 days after recieving something is standard pratice. The negative inventory you mention problem has to do with order part *after* they get the order from you.
I'm not saying we don't have the right. The first poster just misquoted the 2nd amendment (as most people do). You are correct, from a literal reading of the amendment, we have the right to bear arms, but I was just questioning the reason for that right. It was in there for the militia, something that (for all practical purposes) ceases to exist. As another poster pointed out, most (if not all) of the constitution is there to protect us from the government, not other people or companies. Due to what the founding father just went though with the English, they wanted to make sure that the people could always rise up against an oppressive government, not an oppressive next door neighbor, or ISP.

actually, the 2nd amendment says (and I quote):
"A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."
Not quite as black and white as anti gun control people would like us to think it is. They had a definite reason for give people the right to bear arms, and I'm not so sure it had anything to do with personal protection. It was to help defend the country. Given that our biggest enemies are most like to rain ICBM's down upon us, I doubt Bubba having a snub nose special is going to help any.
Not quite true. Some/most commuter planes do fly around 15,000 feet. They are pressurized, but they typically don't go much higher because there is nothing to be gain. The time/fuel to climb to 22,000 isn't worth it for the short hopes.
Rather than shouting, why don't you tell us what Pattern Matching is? Obviously some people don't know.

Lets face it, the CIA and FBI are already reading all out email, so let's let them delete the spam as they read it. Win-win. :-)
