Simple to set up, simple to administrate, and iMacs are cheap as dirt.
The cheapest iMac I can find (in Apple's online store) costs $899.
Starting at $199.99, the NIC costs less than the cheapest PC. It supports popular plugins like Real Player, Java and Macromedia Flash Player, so it's just as Internet-capable. And the NIC is so easy to use.
I'm pretty sure the emulators themselves are legal (roms are another thing). Didn't Bleem! (www.bleem.com, PlayStation emulator) win over Sony when Sony tried to sue them for emulating the PSX?
Go to http://www.r3mix.net/ and click on Quality (I recommend reading the other pages as well). It appears as if 300 audiophiles using audio equipment for >25000 USD (!) rated 256 kbit mp3's as CD quality... Still think you can hear the difference between an mp3 (good quality) and a CD.

Why do you think AtheOS is single user? Is it the login dialog that you get when you boot it up that made you think that it's single user?

Feel free to download AtheOS yourself and try it out (you'll see that it's not fake).
Well, yes, the server runs AtheOS. And it's no wonder it can't handle a slashdotting, considering it's on a 2 mbit line running version 0.3.x of AtheOS, where all the disk IO has to go through the BIOS. AtheOS isn't a very mature OS yet you know;)

Kurt Skauen is Norwegian... You can't really expect someone who has English as their second language to speak English perfectly...

He said PPC Linux. I think there's a difference between LinuxPPC "and PPC Linux".
Intel didn't choose Pentium instead of 586 because 586 was already taken, they choose it because they couldn't trademark/copyright a bunch of numbers.
Uhm, isn't the PPC Linux kernel seperate from the "normal" kernel? Just get your specific tree and voíla...
