I'm not really far in the game yet, but Skyrim has great feel. Magic seems to be better than in Oblivion, and the world is beautiful. It does kind of need a better texture pack, but I'm sure modders will be working with that. In the beginning (after you get out to the real world), there's a nice old lady who says it's so nice to have a visitor. I felt kinda bad after bursting her into flames and robbing her house.

At its home turf, despite being a state-owned company, China Telecom, along with China Unicom, is being investigated over alleged monopolistic practices by the Chinese government. The two companies would face penalties of up to 10 percent of their annual business revenues if they were found guilty of monopolistic practices

What the fuck? Don't you see how ridiculous these Chinese == bad comparisons on Slashdot sound? Frankly, I have lived in lots of countries, including China and other Asia countries, and I always got better treatment while using their services. In fact, I hope they establish their services in Europe too. Yes, they could go to shit like every operator now, but at least at the moment they are so far better than anyone else. And frankly, that's all I (and other people) care about.

They are only interested about US market because it's LOTS of clueless people who live by advertisements and just don't know better. US is the dumb and clueless country. Sure, mod me down for stating the fact, but that is the truth.

Many other parts can fail too, it's not just batteries. You can't just ignore the fact that Google could have safe measurements in the OS and limit the hardware usage, but they do not. Combined with crappy hardware and crappy design this leads to failing parts. It's simple as that.

  15. Re:I wonder who commissioned this study on Hardware Running Android Fails More Than iPhone, BlackBerry Hardware · · Score: 0

I agree, and then there's the fact that Google has no experience on developing mobile OS. They seem to assume they can just overuse the hardware and not limit it in any way, which obviously turns the hardware to scrap metal really soon. This is a combination of bad coding habits from Google and bad hardware decisions from manufacturers in the race to take the prices to bottom.

It's sad to see companies don't appreciate quality software anymore, because VMware has always produced just that. That has been the trend lately, just like companies are moving towards Google's products just because they are free, even while there are much better products on the market.

You get a much healthier lifestyle if you avoid eating carbs. Yes, it means giving up on french fries, hamburgers and pizza, but that's easily solvable by making more bacon.
