What I don't understand is how this is considered "New Tech" Google had voice recognition for a few years before Apple jumped on the bandwagon. I have been using it transcribe voicemails, and write text/email messages for a long time before Apple brought out Siri. The tests and support issues I have had with Siri are all related to its very poor ability to understand what the user is asking for. It is just another clear case of "You can only do it Apples way" mentality, use Siri and get "Apple's canned list of answers" Ask for something else and you get "I don't understand...." or at best a forward on to Google, I prefer to ask a question and get 300,000 results so that at least what I am looking for is there, instead of my results being limited to what Apple thinks I need.
Your Memory + Rule of 3
I find that this old rule still applies, Listen to something, Write it down, and Read it in order to understand and learn it. Taking notes just to take notes and build a catalogue of search able reference material is fine unless you need to be able to recall the information. For me writing something down with pencil and paper helps make that 3rd sense of touch bridge the gap between listening to something and reading something completing the understanding process.
If the RIAA/MPAA really wanted to increase revenue, they would start bootlegging a low res version their own movies, and sell slices of time of the movies to advertisers, anyone remember when Movies where on Film in the theater and the 1/30 second image of a bucket of popcorm flashed by ? Let me insert subliminal adverts into the low res version and the distribute it freely and widely.

Windows and Mac have done wonders to enable the inept, or rather the patented iNept masses.
