How so? You have a random post from an AC with nothing to back it up and you blindly accept it. How the fuck is that good info? In fact that is the exact opposite of good info.
You want to get rid of DRM then change human nature. Bittorrent was the biggest user of bandwidth until the rise of Netflix. It still is the biggest user of upstream bandwidth, and while it may have legitimate uses, the majority of that traffic is unauthorized copies of movies and tv. While you may claim DRM is bad, is it any worse for society then the massive disregard for law.
DRM is encryption, it is used for the same reason, to ensure only the correct recipient can get the information. If you want to get rid of one you need to get rid of the other.
I for one have trouble with the people who want encryption for themselves but demand others don't use it. DRM = encryption.
If you get your PGP, then they get their DRM.
We'll die off??? Sorry, you are a tiny minority who will continue to be ignored by the ones making the rules. Why? Because your uncompromising, unrealistic, and annoying to be around.
Don't support it then. Personally I feel there is space enough for both open and closed systems. (PS your NEVER going to get Netflix or any other legal streaming service without DRM, the studios have been very adamant about not giving their stuff away)
But it does not work as a deterrent, hence the high recidivism. Rehabilitation is the method that has been proven time and time again. Instead what we have now is a system that turns minor offenders into habitual offenders.
Yes because prisons are so comfortable now, and our recidivism rate is so low. Prison was supposed to be a bout rehabilitation, not just punishment. All prisons do now is turn minor criminals in to major criminals.
it's $68,479 for the original Stingray and $134,952 for Stingray II. Granted that does not include everything else required,
https://publicintelligence.net... shows a nice price list for the accessories.
They would be hard pressed to show financial harm, which is a requirement for them to invoke trade secrets. Since neither the secret handshake nor the robe colors provide any financial benefit from them being unknown I can't see this suit actually making it to a court room.
Sure thay have a large insurance policy for their drivers, but how many of their drivers have a commercial license? Most states require a a special license for people getting paid to drive others around. Since most Uber drivers lack a commercial license I could easily see that being a reason for the insurance company to refuse to pay out.

Netflix hardly delivers content DRM free. Why do you think they used Silverlight?
And this is the mindset that will eternally keep Linux from ever having any major inroads on the desktop.
Oh no, now you've tainted Linux. It's ruined by teh 3vil that is DRM. I guess it's HURD's time now.
So you just read the headline. Not even the summary?

Yeah the stoning was for people working on Saturday.
If? He died in their custody. No one else had access to him and he suffered mortal wounds, They are without a doubt guilty.

I get a kick out of these new ultra conservative republicans calling the people who have been the Republican Party for the past generation RINOs.

I am sure this had more to do with the settlement then any psychic powers.
"an allergic reaction to a dye injected during the exam gave her severe, recurring headaches"

What insurance company is going to cover a driver who is driving commercially on a non-commercial license?
Or even a 2nd party.
And how exactly is that supposed to work when the police who break the law are not punished?
Wow your e-peen is so big.. I am so jealous.. you are so amazing... why am I talking in monotone?
Not at 2:59 in the morning. Especially not at 49.
