this isn't meant facetiously, but i would recommend a small pad of paper. you can write changes or notes on paper while you're out, and enter in into your computer when you get home. this is nice, too, because sitting down and going over what you've written is a good way of remembering it or planning what you need to do.
last summer i was on a dystopian novel kick, and then figured that if dystopian novels a good way to learn about society and where it's headed, utopian novels could be good also. try reading sir thomas moore's book 'utopia', which is where the word comes from. it's a really good, but short, read.
i've gone pretty much exclusively with wd drives (usually caviar) for my home boxes for the last ~10 years and never had a single problem. that's rough luck perhaps.
sure, i like to watch a movie now and then, but honestly people, you'll be better off and enjoy life more if you turn of the tele, or get rid of it altogether. why not?
