I made a twitter account for myself over 2 years ago while using the same handle as othee email accounts. I lost/forgot the password and really don't care to ever tweet anything. Am I the only person who does not feel a 'need' to twit?
Yeah, that does look like a little risky to me too, but not being a rocket scientist (heh), what do I know? I thought the inflated airbags landing was kid of risky too, and that worked well. I have to figure the 'wired' landing is NASA's best workable soft landing. Maybe it's just that it reminds me of a scene out of "The Terminator" that bothers me.
Conan O'Brian's monologue had a bit about a Nickleback fan who was attempting to sneak into their show. He was injured after sliding 40 feet down a gully, and will recover. "Doctors said it could have been much worse for the fan. He could have succeeded in actually getting into the show!"
You want to kill yourself over $$$? DON'T!!! The day will come when you'll be making money again, just ain't today! Do what you gotta do to keep going, get your ass to a hospital and ask for help. Tell that mate whats going on. Trust me, she's not gonna think you really loved here afterwards, because you left her alone to live her life without you there to help her. Are you getting ehat I'm putting down? THINK about it. God don't want you yet, not that way!
I've been at 'the edge', and came back. Shitty way to go out, pretty messy, too. She's gonna have to I.d. whats left of you, why would you do that to her? Pretty goddamn selfish of you, if you ask me. Suicide is a selfish act. What kind of pain are you in?, because lots of other people live with pain every day. You don't love her like you claim you do, or you wouldn't be ideating like you are. Google some sites about suicide, read 'em all, think about how you're gonna explain yourself to God when you're asked why you ended your life before it was meant to be. And what if you survive your attempt? It happens more often than not. Now you're damaged and survived! Nah, stick it out like the rest of us have to. Good luck to you, Sir.
Build a better lock, someone will learn to open it, That's it then. Time for everybody in the world to go on the honor system! (And NO crossing your fingers/toes.)
Not sure if this is true or not, but supposedly at the end of some sessions McCartney would re-dub out Ringo's drumming and do his own version, which made the final cut.
There's still good music being made today, the trick is finding it. The music industry has destroyed itself in the last 20 years. Trying to keep total control over each and every new format that has come out has kept the music companies from developing quality music acts, like they used to do. And the state of todays pop is just 'sad', IMO. And as for great females from the 60's & 70's, there was a group called "Smith"... http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DO6atUODsWGs&v=O6atUODsWGs&gl=US
Teach math when students are most adaptable to learning new languages, say ages 3-10. And as to teaching history, I recently watched a program about WWII. A crew member from the "Enola Gay" had been invited to speak about his war experience at a high school. He was introduced as a veteran of "World War Eleven". So, maybe there's a problem with today's youth not remembering history.
American press did not report that fact an awful lot, and U.S. schools really did not teach much to kids of the Soviet space-race achievments, basically only U.S. progress got any airplay during those post cold war days. Not one of our best moments. But that's why it's not as ingrained in the American psyche.
Well itsy, you taught me what a 'flamebaiter' is, and that there's really no difference between a religous zealot and a science zealot. Both are close-minded and feel the need to be ''right'' no matter how. Playing your game allowed me to 'plant some seeds' that will always be in you. And I was also able to reach another important human being in obvious pain and angst over her medical worries. A double "win" in my book. Some might even comment how God works in mysterious ways.....
According to the movie, "The Right Stuff", John Glenn had to get permission from Houston to pee in his spacesuit, but it took quite a while to finally get the aok to do so, worries about short circuiting the spacecraft.
I guess it depends on your point of view, at the time. Some say fires the worst way to go, other say drowning (real painful just 'before, I hear). My friend handled his cancer situation with amazing aplomb. I sure wouldn't have.
Yeah, there's a name for it. It's "Hero(ine) Worship.". And the kid in you sure picked a good one to 'idolize'. Sally Ride was tough, advenureous, brave and strong. She had what they call "sand". Grit. True grit, if you will. A fine choice you made.
Whatever works for you is ok. I suggest that 'Religion' is all entirely man-made, and has really nothing to do with a divine God. Your "sciencey" views do strike me as rather cold and you do seem somewhat cold yourself. Hey whatever floats your boat, Sir. I know of one adage to leave you with though, and I mean not to cause further distress to you, try it on to see if it fits. "Don't worry if you don't believe in God. Just KNOW that God believes in YOU."
And 20 years ago there was no such thing as 'medical' marijuana. Our friend wanted to smoke a joint, he smoked! No debate. Any lawmaker had a loved one with cancer would break their own law, if they had any humanness to them. Get a friend to smuggle something in for you, do it in the bathroom or out the window. What are they gonna do, arrest a patient?! I don't think so!
So, it's you, you have a cancer. I hate even that word. Maybe, and please don't hate me ( it's me, sternishefan here posting ac again), maybe in 'this' life, we all get 'tested', in one way or another. Sometimes, I think, we even get 'used' by 'the big cheese' for his/her own reasons. Maybe because He/She knows we can handle it. I've been through some stuff in my life, not like what you're having to endure, but hard for me. I learned that I was stronger than I knew, at the time. You couldn't have convinced me of that then, I think. YOU have strength and bravery I wish I had. I've learned that, looking back, every time I was down, don't ask me how or even why sometimes, I got up again. I guess maybe because that's what we do best, getting up after being knocked down, you relate to that, right? Keep on keeping on, dear, until you finally can't. Then, go a little
more, then rest. You can't see them, but you DO have angels, spirits,
around you, 'singing' you on. And I'm saying this to piss off some
other/.ers reading along now. I 'know' some things that quite frankly
I wish I didn't sometimes, as you see the response I get sometimes!
(lol) I would not lie to you dear, I know of what I speak. Stay strong, handle 'your' burden with the best 'grace' possible for you, that is the true measure of a man or woman. Not that bad things happen to us, but in how we handle ourselves when they do. How we 'react' is what we 're 'judged' by. Something tells me you'll do just fine in that department. Be proud of yourself! for getting way further than some of us would ever get if in your position. I don't even know you, and I am very proud of you! Take good care, dear. S.F.;-)

The "Science" channel will be airing an in-depth program on this landing on Monday, August 6, at 10pm Eastern time.

The conspiracy theory nuts keep telling us that the moon landings were fake!
They should watch more Mythbusters :)
I hear that those Mythbusters are just a myth! Or are they.... ;-/
Jan 1981, MTV debuted their first ever Rap video. "Rapture" was Billboard's first #1 Rap song. http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DpHCdS7O248g&v=pHCdS7O248g&gl=US

Pick any or all, just be sincere.
wasn't that Alan Shepard rather than Glenn?
Yes, correct. Never post while over-tired.

47 down, 9 to go: Queen Elizabeth II, Brigitte Bardot, Fidel Castro, Chubby Checker, Bob Dylan, John Glenn, Doris Day, and Bernhard Goetz.
